Default Awaiting Connection/Server timed out issues.

I have had COD WAW for about 6 weeks now. However over the past 2 weeks online has been overly frustrating Every time I try and join a game I get to the map loading screen and it comes up "Awaiting Connection..1..2..3..4..5..6..7..8..9..10...11" Then takes me back to game lobby and says server connection timed out.

Or I'll join a game in lobby it will say "Match is about to begin..10..9 (to 0) and then just continue to say "Match is about to begin...." Then kick me.


Is anyone else suffering from the same problems??
I can play private matches and it has worked before many times, so i don't think its the internets problem.

Can't say i've ever had a problem like this. Are you running the latest fully patched version?

It's strange that you can connect to private games fine.

Yea all patches are downloaded. I'm gunna try my ethernet cable today which should confirm if it's a problem with wireless settings or something similar.

I also reset hardrive-annoyingly have to re-download updates but might have some effect :/

ive had the same issue, but with me it was the internet connection. What i did was reset my wireless router proffesionally(ripped it out of the wall)and plugged it back in. worcked fine after that. =P

Ha :P Might try that. Annoyingly i want to buy cod4, but no point if i Am going to suffer same issues, do they use the same ports??
