Default DLC Speculation & Rumours

Vehicles, weapons? Who knows who the folks at Infinity Ward could be working on. Information is very, VERY scarce. Keep all the discussion in here. I will update with any further news regarding DLC.

Personally I want some new weapons, nothing that's more powerful than the launch guns but something that looks and shoots different.

They could make guns work if they wanted to. I do like the sound of a White House map.

As far as DLC goes, we love it and plan to support ‘Modern Warfare 2′ heavily with post-launch support... We’ll be doing AT LEAST two map packs... The fact that we confirmed at least two map packs doesn’t mean there won’t be more; honestly we plan on shaping our DLC based on community feedback from the full game, and first two DLC map packs. Therefore, the community will really determine what comes after that.
I know this quote is probably 5 or 6 months old, but the DLC is still referred to as 'map packs' - for the first two confirmed DLC releases anyway. I guess that really throws out the idea of vehicles or new weapons.

I wonder how much 'community feedback' will really be shaping any future DLC... and if we will get more than just additional maps.

Remakes of COD4 maps would be great..

I'd love to see Overgrown or Downpour come back in a snowy environment..

There are three game types people have found hidden on the disc, VIP, Capture The Flag and Global Thermonuclear War.

No one is really sure at the moment though, some people think IW are greedy and will release them via DLC, some people think over time they might just unlock them for everyone for free (as they are already there) and others (my view) is that these are just game modes that were thought up during development, but never actually made it to the final product and are not intended for release.
