On Thursday 11th March at 6pm, Oceana Milton Keynes will become the first ever Play the Gamer (PTG) venue. Competitors will play FIFA 10, Need for Speed and Call of Duty to identify the night’s gaming champion.
The Milton Keynes gamer launch night will start registration at 6pm (unless you have pre-registered) and the first games power up at 7pm. Entry is only £5 for the whole night, unless you just want to come along and watch or play in the poker tournament, then it is totally free to enter before 8pm.

There will be 10 consoles set up, allowing for up to forty players at a time to battle away. As well as the competition to see who is there to and who’s there just for fun. Gamers can cheer on their mates to a well deserved victory or chuckle at their failure! Either way the electric atmosphere promises to produce a great night out for everyone.
This one off launch night will act as the taster for the Play the Gamer league across the UK. PTG will be the first live national gaming league and will be played over a series of nights in a three month period. At the end of the league a venue champion will be crowned and invited to a national championship. At which time, regional winners battle it out for both sector and ultimate gamer status . . . and did we mention the £10,000 prize pool?! We are inviting all interested gamers and fans to sign up now! Registered players will be given priority should a venue sell out. This is not a commitment it is just a way to get ahead of the queue. The league is being presented by entertainment and events company, Living it Loving it.
