Black Ops 6 freezing 10 seconds into game

I have a pc with win11. The system is completely updated. Before I did a fresh install of windows 11 I could play the game nonstop for hours on end.

Now when I start a game, like 10 seconds into the game it will freeze completely. Not my system, only the game. MW3 plays totally fine as does every single one of my other games. Does anyone know where I could start looking to see what is causing this crash? I have completely reinstalled the game from scratch and rebooted my system.

I have no idea what could be causing this. All my other games as well as Modern Warfare 3 play totally fine with 0 issues.

I have a 285k with a 5070ti and the latest nv hotfix driver as of today. 64gb of ram with a gen4 nvme.

This is what I found that fixed the issue!! Thanks I hope this helps everyone!

There is a simple solution if you have freezes an ctd with CoD Black Ops 6 and 9800X3D. It drove me crazy until I got a solution from a guy from a tech forum.

open the configfile with an editor (in my case the file is called s.1.0.cod24.txt1. Recommend to change all if you have multiple. I had s.1.0.cod24.txt0 aswell)

set RendererWorkerCount to 7 (in my case it was on 14 or 15).

Problem solved. No more freezes, no more crashes.

My cpu is not a 9800x3d but a 285k. Works for that as well!

Use notepad to open up and edit the file.

no good.. was at 9..tried 7..froze up..tried 8 same thing..

Ever since this reload of season 3 Seth Rogan crap update. MWIII plays fine..

fixed it..seems my motherboard was way behind..did a flash to update the bios and all is well..phew...only lost about 50 hours of my life trying to figure this out..lol
