Activision should start doing hardware bans like as in ban the whole computer, console or any other device like the Steam Deck from Call of Duty HQ at this point. How the hell did they let them get away with cheating in the first place… They didn’t even bother updating their anti-cheat system.

There IS hardware bans, but the SBMM system is protecting them.

That’s fucked up. No wonder why Activision always put forced crossplay on consoles which led to rampant cheating on consoles and Steam Decks when pitted against PC cheaters.
There's tons of videos about SBMM, I have a few of them in Call of Duty Media forum. I'll react to this eventually, but here's one example...
It's not exclusive to Ranked, though. It's on both platforms, they just treat it differently.

I think the cheaters have even figured out how to knock you out of the game.
Probably a dozen times or more my game freezes up shortly after killing a player. the crash report comes up saying "unknown cause".

Theres been cheaters on COD since the old days, unfortunately. Especially with these Cronus users it's not only PC you got to worry about. But again, Cronus has been around since at least PS3/360 days.

Same today.
Tried to have a cheeky hour on this morning before work.
I only play HC because the whole 'putting a full clip into someone and then they stab you and you die' premise just makes me rage. But this morning, in a HC matches:
Constantly getting hitmarkers and not killing em.
Getting shot from across the map with no clear LOS
Invisible enemies
Even got shot by an enemy facing away from me
Last few weeks have been laggy as hell too

I just want to get something off my chest.
If Activition would spend less time infringing on my freedom of speech and banning people for a rated M game and spend more time working on getting rid of the cheaters and people who take advantage of glitches, you probably wouldn't have to ban people for language. Obviously you don't get it, because you allow these cheaters. People are going get mad because of the unfair game play, they may not normally say if it were fair. Obviously you feel it's more important to ban people than to fix the problem with cheaters and glitchers. I have spent so much money in this game since cold war, modern warfare, until you introduced the "we want to create a more enjoyable game" for people to play and start banning people for language. It's my constitutional right to freedom of speech. I mean come on you make a game full of violence, blood & gore and bad language it's a rated M game and you have the nurve to ban people for their language. Seems like double standards to me. I have not bought the new cod 6 and frankly don't care if it's going to be free on game pass or not. I refuse to pay another dime as this continues. For Activision go back and look at my purchase history. You'll see and you'll see no more purchases from me either. You want a more enjoyable gaming experience do away with cheaters first, then worry about people and controlling people's freedom of speech. I was playing recently on highrise where this person was completely off the tac map in the redzone and just shooting people left and right. Explain how thats allowed. No nevermind because your game developers leak codes out to promote the apps used to cheat. I've been gaming for 30+ years leading all the way going back to windows 3.1. I know how this goes and I know it's all about the almighty dollar you can get. I also did some server security for project reality and always caught people hacking. You could do something about it, but clearly you wont, so I don't need your excuses, what I need is for you to finally do something about it.

Personally I think the cheat software is being made on the side by the devs of the game.
How else would they be getting around the anti-cheat and any updates designed to keep the cheat software from operating?

Wouldn't surprise me either.
The attached file as stated before goes hand in hand. Do something with the cheaters to make fair game play. Then perhaps the treating everyone with respect would be more acceptable by others. They have no problem banning for the treat people for respect, clearly banning the cheaters is the issue. I'm certain you are probably correct.
