CNN reports, "90% of video games go unfinished".

I don't like it, but it's true.

I recently played Duke Nukem Forever due to Redbox rental service, and I only have two days to play, but my family took up the latter half of that time.

I don't know what's wrong with DNF, but the only reason I stopped playing is because one of the levels is so confusing that you often find yourself backtracking. The level being dark didn't help matters, either.

The problem with today's games is that too many developers worry too much about the casual gamer - by making most games 'easy' to finish. Easy to play is supposed to be the goal, but c'mon, challenge us!

The only real reason why we're seeing smaller and smaller games these days is because we have reached a point where technology is getting sophisticated to the point of if you cram too much into a game you end up sacrificing features that many would like, inexchange for online gaming or vice versa. Blu-Ray needs to expand the size of those discs for a real standard in gaming. I don't think we'll see that next gen because we're going to see another leap in technology:
