Does anybody know if this Christmas event can be played in custom or private matches

I have a question if this Christmas event in modern warfare 3 can be played on or in custom or private matches? Public matches are getting harder to finish this event. I have two more challenges to complete one is sniping for 40 headshots and the other is 40 kills with enemies picked up weapons. Any feedback would be appreciated.
