Dual Video Cards

I understand the concept of dual Video Cards.. Identical video cards with an SLI type hookup..

But is there any advantage to hooking up two dissimilar video cards with no SLI-esque hookup??



Is there any speed advantage to a setup like that ^^^^^


Or would the person be better off selling both cards to upgrade the RTX???

It wont work. A quick google search revealed that you would have all kinds of problems including drivers, power supply and so on. Sell and upgrade to one better card.

SLI design has been phased out for many years now. Most modern motherboards ignore this design. I don't see it in benchmarks anymore, I don't see it in retail anymore, I don't even see it in tech videos now.

Cut your losses and sell to enthusiast techies. Those people will take old cards like this and use it with SLI compatible motherboards.

Or something. I don't know.
