Either kill this game off or for the love of god change the name from Call of Duty

I have pretty much walked away from this game. Basically it has been a piece of shit since release. Thankfully I have been busy in real life so that I have not had much time to spend/waste on this game. I was a diehard fan of this game and ran one of the biggest modding mapping websites back in the day. In particular, the past couple of releases have been showing the signs of doing anything for profit with the notable exception of giving us a real game. This BO6 release is not call of duty anymore except in name only.

I have not held my tongue here with my views on the skins and characters depicted in the game. I wont even comment on the totally fucking stupid weapons and the effects that they have. The game that I knew and loved is no more and hasnt been for a long time now. It only exists in my memory and those were some great years. Time moves on and so am I.

So either kill this game or preserve the memory by changing the name of this game to something else entirely. It is no longer what it was or will ever be again. Sad and sickened at how far this game has fallen.

I stopped a while ago. It seems the game only made for kids with ADHD now. Im now waiting for
Battlefield coming out next year, i have high hopes because they say they will go back too the Bf4 style

I played 2042 for 14 days then i gave up on it. That was really the worst crap they ever made

I may take a look at CS2 but I am under the impression that it is full of hackers too. I know, I know, virtually all games are full of hackers these days.

About hackers, it seems that if they cant beat them join them mentality is spreading. I grew up with a
mindset where mutual respect is important. Today its obviously gone out of fashion. Im worried that
we never will see a game without hackers never again

i was playing counter strike 30 years ago and then condition zero and source and global offensive and now cs2 and i still enjoy it very much even with some hackers here or there. i think i like it because they have not done alot of major changes to it.

another thing on cs2 they dont offer bundles and other stuff it is not pay to win, you can get skins and things from market place and you pay to open crates but not much and dont have to, just go in and play its lots of fun. some things are better left alone

The cheating problem has been out of control for a long time now. What’s even worse is that most developers just turn a blind eye to it. It honestly feels like anti-cheat systems these days exist more for PR than for actual enforcement. As long as player counts stay up, they don’t seem to care how many of those players are legit. It's frustrating, because it ruins the experience for everyone who’s actually trying to play fair. At this point, cheating has become so normalized that it's almost expected in every major FPS. Sad state of affairs, really.

I couldn’t agree more with the OP. It’s literally becoming a second Fortnite. The newer CoD games (minus WW2, Cold War and Vanguard) don’t even deserve to be part of the same franchise as World at War, the original Modern Warfare trilogy or the first Black Ops. No wonder so many fans are disillusioned with the series.

i see black ops 2 is selling for full price is it worth to go play that or is full of you know what. i didnt start playing cod till 2019 so i dont know much about prior versions although i did enjoy mw 2019

watching a plant grow is more fun than cod now
