DMZ First Thoughts Season 04

All my CONTRABAND weapons and my Active Duty Operators are still there and still as fully equipped as they were yesterday...

Another plus...

But, as CrowGirl pointed out, the insured slots you earned are gone.. Bad...
 
There are a PLETHORA of AI.... And they are uncannily accurate with their grenades...

Vondel is definitely a harder grind for the SOLO player..

And the fog sucks purple panther piss.. It's like playing Al Mazrah in the sand storm...
 
On the plus side, with everyone playing Vondel, you can do lots of missions on Al Mazra in relative peace. Which is a good thing as they've made it a real pain to get a medic/comms/stealth 3 plate now!

Yea, I have to admit I am pretty underwhelmed with Season 04...

I look at it as the same as the Ashika addition.. It's a decent addition, but doesn't offer anything really new as far as game play and game mechanics go..

I spent most of my evening last night watching STARGATE ATLANTIS... :D

I'll probably be staying in Al Mazrah for the most part..
 
Another "first thought"??

Glitchy as hell..

Before I would get "glitched out" (IE Lost Server Connection) maybe once every couple weeks or so...

Playing this morning, every game I played (3 so far) I got glitched out and thrown out of the game.. Lost my Contraband Weapons and everything..

S04 ain't lookin' so good, Activision!!

I do not have that hard a time finding med backpacks and revive stuff.


What I have a hard time with is the effing barter system needing to be "Earned" now as well as they changed the coms vest to need an encrypted hard drive. NOW THOSE are like hens teeth. FML

So a lot of my buddies figured oh pvp will die down in DMZ.. yes and no. Now what it is is PVP folks go hunting others so they can loot what those folks have. IE if they picked up items needed to make stuff OR take their vests if they made one..

Its nearly the more simple way to go find something now is take it from another player..

Thanks Activision you effed this one up HARD..

I'm now looking at Starfield coming in Sept and thinking it cant get here soon enough.

Yep same.. Go to log in with a team of 2 with a +1 just as we are getting in out 3rd finally hits the group so our Team Leader backs us all out to reset the group.

Nope I load in with the two guys I saw then as the game counts down and goes live I am NOW with 2 other guys I never saw during game preload .. Well sorry guys Im just gonna run across 3/4 of the map to straight exfil sorry bye...

exfil out and get in group again our 3rd lagged out during load in. We run for exfil, during it one of us lags out ,. I exfil solo we never regrouped those 2 were in another instance so I found another buddy and joined him and he was lagging badly also..

Then of course we bump into a team that was just dicks.. everyone to that point was just going on their merry way nope these two I could have killed several times but just let them walk up I said hey friendly friendly and get mowed down looted and not revived. My buddy fights and evaded they ran not from him but a squad who was doing some mission. So he swoops in and revs me I got NOTHING.. well I did have a revive gun on me ,, he gives me one gun and we make for chasing down my tags. we bump into another team at the exfil he went to and kill them I loot a large bp and a sniper from them that exfil hits gas and my tags never got on so its a mad dash for the last exfil.

at which there were 2 teams at already and 3 more teams crashed in behind us. I tried the vehicle thing where it accelerates after getting out and try to launch the hummer at a 2 man team but missed and I got killed quickly my team mate got surrounded as we picked a rock 50 meters from zone edge and well 2 teams picked zone edge.. whoops ..

It was fun but what was funnier is the guy with my tags is the one who killed my partner.. wish I recalled his name .. I really need to start a memo book of jerks in the game so I can recall to never help them or revive them , EVER..
 
On a plus note..

They now have TWO PLATE Comms, Medic, Stealth and Tempered vests...

On the bad side, they recipes for the vests are harder.. For the Comms vest you need an ENCRYPTED Hard Drive instead of just 2 hard drives..

And you have to kill a BOSS first.. Each BOSS corresponds to a different vest..

Yeah and how the hell am I supposed to get to building 21 ? I have not seen anything about that card dropping yet
