Guess I am just getting old. Saying goodbye here.

Been playing FPS since 1998. But fps gaming just isn't what it user to be. Besides me loosing my reflexes with age and strokes. Now days you only get maybe a year to play a game before they release the new title and COD lets the older titles become unplayable. Sometimes less then 10 months. Watching players following players through walls on on both sides. So many players now playing on controllers that, face the fact. A controller was not and can not and never will have the matrix to actually control a sight picture in a fps game. So AI is a must, I get it. But it is WAY exaggerated to the point, if your on keyboard and mouse it is just the same as playing a cheat. I know that will upset many, but that's a fact and the truth is the truth. Playing FPS titles in 2025 is no more then playing against a conglomeration of AI not actual skill.. Cheating has always been a issue but now days it is absurd. Keeping cheater free servers to play on went away when the developers decided that Private multiplayer servers were no longer allowed. It is true. No admins = Cat's Away the Rats can Play. COD became a dictatorship. There is no such thing as a Team Death Match any longer. Yes TDM exists and full of players...... Playing Free For All, which servers are typically empty. So now there is Skill Based Matchmaking, Yet players come in stomping entire teams is a norm. That didn't work for the developer either.
Not just COD. It is all of the big titles and most of the minor titles as well

To many cheaters
Controller AI is absurd
FPS no longer skill based gaming
Getting Old

No Longer Fun

Take care everyone. It has been say the least interesting 37 year run. I've had countless wonderful memories and made many more great friends and playing partners.

No I deleted BO7. Done with all the nonsense with PC M&K. I also deleted BO6 after they turned the game we paid for into something totally different.
Activision has made it clear that they do not support M&K players and our money isn't important.
It has been a fun run, but when it is no longer fun then it doesn't make any since to keep giving them money just to be nerfed out of the game play.

It's fun to do that, but that's not what we're experiencing. You might have a fresh account, so you are at the bottom of the skill based matchmaking pool. Enjoy it while it lasts, because you see that rug under your feet? Activision has a habit of pulling it.

Man, I feel this. A lot of long-time FPS players are hitting the same wall right now.

It’s not just you getting older the whole scene has changed. Games don’t stick around long enough anymore, everything is tied to yearly releases, and older titles get left behind fast. That sense of mastering one game over years is kinda gone.

The cheating part is real too. It’s always been there, but now it feels way more visible, especially without community servers or admins keeping things in check. Back in the day, good servers had active moderation, and that made a huge difference.
