i feel like the recent cod games, (excluding MW2019, because that game was a nice return to glory, plus warzone) have been lacking, call of duty ww2, was a nice return to the roots, but fealt like a rushed game, and didnt have a good feel to the multiplayer, the campaign was pretty good, it tryed new things, where you can have the option of how to play out the mission, example, liberation, you can do it stealthy, or guns blazing, black ops 4, in terms of story, it gave a small bit of background to the operator, not much though, and finished off the ether storyline, i don't keep track of zombies to well, but i have to say, it seemed lacking, it had a super abrupt ending, but a nice way to bring the call of the dead map back in a way, via tag der toten, but it was lacking, and hardly listened to the community, if treyarch did at all, cod ww2 had some party games like in the old days, but again, was kinda lacking, the zombies mode, atleast did something new, with the small class system, and the ravencraft, it was a cool idea, but kinda flopped, so was never expanded upon, warzone, is alive and well, and the devs are listening to the community, which is what will keep the game alive, if the next few games, the devs listen to the community more, and use parts of other games that people love, like the party games, a campaign that has work put into it, and combine the parts that people love, with some experimental things, so if they fail, there are other things that people will like about the game
