So, my best option so far, is this thing. https://www.bestbuy.com/product/cyb...324&gbraid=0AAAAAD-ORIjPf0MJgtW2DEpUJ9OTZx4t9

I already have the best RAM so I'm not worried about this here. The area where I live have only Best Buy, Target, and some mom and pops. Ironically enough, a customer service person told us to go to a nearby mom and pop computer store. Originally, I had someone - the same person who offered the RAM set, told me to get this custom-made computer, but I'd have to put it together.
I can modify anything later, but the feedback for the Best Buy one said only a few issues were a problem, so the fan noise is one, power supply is two, and the RAM thing is the issue. I already have the best RAM. I'm not worried. My only observation is that the motherboard is ASRock, which is a offshoot brand of ASUS.

I am not looking at a Nvidia card because of the reliability issue. So far. Intel is more established, but that was before they introduced the new ARC GPU's. When I was doing process of elimination for the last 2 years, I landed on full AMD. Intel has a on-and-off feedback. Some do well, some don't. Nvidia's PR is so bad, I pushed their products aside. And then, I saw that more and more companies are doing hardware encoding with AMD. Some cards or CPU's can do similar, but this is where I land.

OS Name Microsoft Windows 11 Pro
Version 10.0.26200 Build 26200
System Manufacturer ASUS
Processor 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-12900KF, 3200 Mhz, 16 Core(s), 24 Logical Processor(s)
BaseBoard Manufacturer ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC.
BaseBoard Product ROG STRIX Z690-E GAMING WIFI
Asus GeForce 5070TI

I love my gear and and have never had any issues with any of the hardware. I can post up the rest if you want to have the whole picture.

I'm not saying ASUS is bad, but they do have a bit of on-and-off reliability track record. Some models are even from China. I wouldn't trust anything from China myself. PlayStations are the only time I will, because for the most part, its a Sony product.

TCL while cheap for example, and I buy them only because its cheap. Nothing else. Quality and reliability is what I look for in a product.

Jaytwocentz says the issue with Intel is that some of their products have a hard time handshaking with other stuff. Like say you buy a AMD graphics card, Intel won't handshake.

Nvidia... being Nvidia. I'm not happy with what they've done in addition to what JTC said. I don't always take what JTC says as fact but I get the sense. I even check steam forums sometimes and vaguely see stuff.

My system is this one. I got it as a surprise last night. My birthday is soon so yeah.

Problem is, when we opened it up, we didn't know how the side panels opened. We got it opened. But now we're stumped. Only a few plugs are not plugged in. One is below the graphics card/unit. I know what it does. Gives power to the GPU, but what confused me is the other end. Where does that go? The power supply i guess?

I'll attach images. I'm posting here to drum activity. CoD is dead but my members are here. Anyway...

EDIT: I can see the other side now... PCIe. Two of them. WTF??

I am assuming that you have not powered this rig up yet. I am surprised that it came like this and not ready to turn on. Is this correct?

Now for the GPU power. Yes it is indeed two connectors for the power from the power supply. Most likely the spare pcie power connections are behind the cover at the back of the case. Mine actually has 3 connectors as a comparison. Usually there are rubber openings on the motherboard mounting plate to allow you to pull the cables through to be connected.

What I would really like is for you to let me know exactly what motherboard that is, manufacturer and model number please. I need this because I can see what appears to be some other connections that have to be or should be connected. Without the mobo info I would only be guessing.

Looks like a really nice rig and looking forward to see how it works. Oh, once it is running you will want to check to see in which direction those fans are running. Ventilation, proper ventilation, is really important.

Customer feedback said that fans were a problem, so if I so much see a problem here. Along with power supply I am swapping them for better power supply and fans. This is just a starter machine to get me started. I am not worried about anything other than getting this started right now.

The 3 fans at the bottom should be blowing upward into the guts of the computer and the 3 at the top should be exhausting the air out of the top of the case. The single fan at the back should be blowing outward as well. I have checked the PM and answered there too!

We got a second opinion, returned the original machine, and exchanged it for the same system. The second one works. I don't think we're out the woods, yet. I have to wait a week, a month to actually feel comfortable. So far, I like it.

thats nice, you can see my system in signiture 7800x3d rocks. i had 7800xt and switched back to nvidia msi 5070ti

The reason I chose AMD over Nvidia is because of the reliability issue over the last 2 years. Nvidia couldn't stop screwing up. AMD is following suit in some way towards A.I., but I got communication from someone about PC specs, and Ryzen 7 98003D was one of the options. I chose it because the other ones didn't meet the ideal workloads.

If you're planning 4K streaming, I’d recommend stress testing with OBS + a GPU benchmark at the same time. That’ll show real-world stability fast. Also keep an eye on hotspot temps and PSU behavior under load.
