I had someone gain unauthorized access to my Activision profile, and linked their Steam (I play on Xbox only, always have) and played a few games using what I assume were “hacks” which allowed them to have crazy games. This happened Sunday night (12/17), and I noticed pretty quickly. I went in and changed my password, set up 2FA but other than that, I had no idea what to do. I saw the unauthorized steam profile linked, but was afraid if I tried to unlink, it would notify them and they’d somehow get back in.
I submitted an “account recovery” request for unauthorized activity, but shortly thereafter I just went ahead and unlinked the persons profile, and had no issues. Btw, the moment from the moment I first discovered this, the person had since stopped playing on my account and never did again.
Monday night (12/18), I tried to log on, only to find out I’m permanently banned. When I went to submit an appeal, I got a message saying I couldn’t appeal while an account recovery is in process. So I submitted a ticket saying I already fixed the issue and removed the unauthorized user. As of this morning (12/20), everything is still the same. Idk what to do her
