Alright, it has been 24 hours since Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was released. For 20 years, I've been running CODForums, I bought the site in late 2009, and completed the acquisition in early 2010. Usually, at this point, we get like thousands and thousands of keywords towards "Call of Duty Forums" and/or similar keywords. This month, I even tested "Best Call of Duty Forums." Because "Best" is said to be the best keyword for a destination forum. Site. Whatever. You know what I discovered? Search console shows only 1,500+ people keyworded the various keywords. That means, that when they see the keyword, and the site comes up... we're getting clicks, but not nearly as much as previous years. This tells me, that Call of Duty as a franchise is dying. Usually at this point of a launch... Call of Duty brings around 5,000 clicks or something to that effect. That virality. That viral marketing.

Analytics is showing 310k+ "key points" - and that's the other thing. Google changed analytics into ....key points. I'm like... what is this? What is this? I - I can't even read the statistics. I don't even know where to start. On October 25, 2024 - there were only 653 "expected" users, and 1,823 "Actual" Users. Like... what am I reading here? So, there was 311k Users, 312k New Users, and 512k Views. I'm confused with the number of event count - which is valued at 2 Million. Keep this in mind: This is for the 12 months period. I spent the last week marketing the website on Twitter (ahem, "X"), and Facebook. They convert some, but only some bots, and some are real users. However, both pagerank the site.

Good news: This gives me 2 months to gauge both Thanksgiving and Christmas markets. PlayStation 5 Pro is launching on November 7, 2024. Nuketown is being launched on November 1st, Season 1 is around November and December. Warzone 4? November and December. Somewhere there. But, the thing is, if launch day is not catching fire, then I guess I need to plan the next 2 or 3 years. I'll make you a deal: If I so much see that Call of Duty is not doing hot on year 4, I will merge this site into a larger site I have. That's the timeline. I'm not investing my time or money into something that isn't trying to improve. Call of Duty has been dying for years. I thought Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) would reinvigorate the community, until Activision had to fuck it all up with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. And it's not going to get better. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III was the best Call of Duty title since 2019's Modern Warfare. And, that's not saying much. That's a low bar.

I thought Activision would get its act together when Microsoft bought Activision. But... no. they doubled down. They triple down. They want to go this "woke" path, they want to go scorched earth? That what they wanna do? Okay. Microsoft said that they are banking the Xbox Game Pass on the Activision Blizzard acquisition. So, what do you reckon Microsoft is going to do in the next quarter? By then, the damage has already been done. I told Bobby Kotick, and the team at Activision to clean house because of the woke shit. 3 YEARS AGO. I told them; STOP investing in China. They didn't listen.

So, I'm gonna decide in 4 years. I can swallow, and absorb all this. No problem. I will watch all this as years go by. The reason for this is because we are currently in a gaming crash. I also said this 2 years ago, too. Nobody seemed to listen to me.

Okay, so what am I doing to solve all this? I've been using about 5 twitter accounts to get traffic. I need more traffic. I need more eyes. I need more authority. By authority, I mean influence. I went back into my YouTube channel and started uploading more videos in hopes of making my brand stronger, my influence stronger, and my visibility stronger. Which in turn will make me more money. This is how I got early investors via YouTube. Everyone, thank @SVER. That dude, came out of nowhere to donate his funds to support my YouTube journey. I will now push forward on YouTube. My family doesn't understand this. At all. They think I've never been famous before. But I have.

There's a reason why I use "Carlos" as a username on many platforms, including this board. It's because a lot of people know who I am. In fact, back in 2006, before Social Media, before - actually, in the middle of MySpace, before Facebook, before Twitter, before all these platforms... I was harassed via phone which my brother caught. I was harassed in person. I was stalked. Brah. I seen it all.

Okay, so back to my point. I believe in forums. I always have. But I remiss if I don't mention it, search is changing. And it's not just a search engine problem, it's a Google problem, it's a ideological problem. Everything you love, will be touched by a stupid leftist today. I think - actually, we do need a reset. I'm not one of these people who espouse "The Great Reset." But yes, we need a reset of sorts. Too much of our culture has been destroyed.

Alright: More good news: xenForo 2.4 and 3.0 is just around the corner, and the road is gonna be a bit bumpy along the ride.

So, I have a question for you: Are you okay if I merged this site into a larger website if things don't go the way I want it in the next 3 or 4 years?

Yes I am fine with it I haven’t been here that long only for about 6 months but I come back here and check daily to see what new stuff has been added
