Angels of Death

Test for you consolers

I want you to go INTO controller settings, turn OFF aim assist, for 1-2 games If your ego is so big and you think your god so big on your K/D. Please don't bother. I want you to see how good that AIM ASSIST works for you. I have friends who play console right next to me on my PC. So yep I know the truth, lets see who all comes back in here and tells me how well they did or couldn't aim with NO AIM ASSIST. Have fun

I mean I'm not disagreeing that aim-assist helps - that's the point isn't it? To help level the playing field with crossplay? It's difficult to aim with a short joystick - as a PC player I am aware that I have a huge advantage in how quickly and accurately I can aim with a mouse. But I disagree that aim-assist puts PC players at a disadvantage to console players, which is what you seem to be indicating.

Just call it an Aimbot, man. That's more legible than the "Aim-assist" Activision embed into Modern Warfare.

And, yes, Aimbot is noticeable.

Wow. If you seriously cant take on a controller player using (inconsistent AT BEST) aim assist with your 10" mouse mat, superior software that allows you to up the frame rate to the point where you can literally see the enemy before they see you and a load more in game settings that you can customise to your playstyle, then mate, you must SUCK at this game!

this guy is a console player. welcome to you thinking you got good aim with that aim assist. Funny thing is they have been discussing this on twitter about how aim assist is to STRONG, as it will probably be toned down or fixed in a way. Have a nice day on your side of the fence, Open your eyes and get off your horse my friend

I forgot to write, I liked your frames per second to see enemy before the consoler, LMFAO shows you that you know nothing, that would be Mhz of your refresh rate (MONITOR) 60-75-144 ETC. PLEASE DON'T COME IN HERE THINKING YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT. and noticing a barrel of a gun peeking a corner isnt much .like maybe a 10th of a second. also i would like to add if im aiming 3 inches off of you @ the point we see each other. Yes i have to be VERY PRECISE hit you with that 1st aim still stay locked on you if your moving jumping etc, im sorry but like i said there is no escape from aim assist running turning opposite direction it is locked on you. seen it watch friends play with it, say what you want, your just lying to yourself. our mouse dont PREDICT what way your going to run. aim assist jerk to people you cant even see in building if your standing out of them. Not im not saying right where they are BUT YOU CAN FEEL IT.

I'm not sure if you are intentionally exaggerating. But aim assist does not in any way "lock on" or "stick" to the target as you're suggesting. In ADS the right stick has to be moving for aim assist to kick in at all, so if the opponent moves / you pull your aim in the wrong way / the recoil pulls you off target, the aim assist won't do anything for you. Same goes for hip fire except it's the left stick that needs to he moving. As a long time pubg player I can safely say that the aim assist in this game can really acrew you over sometimes and it is far from ideal.
BUT!
If console players are going to be forced to play with pc players using mouse and keyboard, with 10x or more the travel of their mouse for movement and aiming (compared to the stick on a console) then we need every bit of assistance we can get. You guys simply have a massive advantage in terms of aiming speed and precision, tbh you're one of the only pc players I know that even argues that fact and it's the reason why the call for disabling crossplay is from the console guys and not the pc guys. So I stand by my original point - if you really are losing most of your fights against controller players, it's not because of aim assist, because you have the advantage just based on the hardware.

And yes, there have been side by side comparisons performed and by tweaking the fov settings and optimising frame rate, you guys CAN see enemies before a console player could.

In closing, I completely agree that aim assist should be disabled on console, as soon as controller players and m&k players aren't forced to play together.

From what I've seen about how the aim-assist works, your crosshair just needs to be near the enemy hitbox, and then it effectively slows down your sensitivity which makes it easier to stay on target. So yes, you do still have to use the right stick to make anything happen, but all movements you make once you're near/on target are more precise because of the lowered sensitivity.

I do agree though - PC has a massive advantage using a mouse so aim-assist is necessary for crossplay and I don't hink aim-assist gives consolers any advantage over PC at all. A joysticker might be able to stay on target easier than I can, but I can 100% whip onto a target faster than a consoler can using my mouse. And I prefer crossplay to stay because it maximixes the playerbase making for quicker lobbies and more options for filtering the queues without fracturing the playerbase too much.

you have sensitivity just like a mouse does. you can aim turn twist fast also. that point is Irrelevant. Just saying. Yes i have friends also play on TV right next too me. everyone has there own connection TO SERVERS, no one is exact. that why there is pings/latency, and programs in the game to make it close as it can be when your on the other end. FOV I dont know what to tell you, but get a PC. Yes i can use a controller on my pc. but I DNOT want to relearn some thing i stopped playing in 1998. went to PC My point is, the ASSIST in THIS GAME is more than ANY other game out there, APEX for being one of them. I get it you guys need the aim assist. Im just saying either tone it down a hair, or make it to where both PC and console can pick to play each other or not. Your talking about FOV about seeing before hand. FPS has NOTHING to do with that FYI.. wider view yes i get it again. Based on what your saying console guys should not be winning because PC players have the advantage. then why even play the game if you think your going to lose because a PC guy is in the server. Do you quit the game when you see him?

Calm down man.

Yes but the distance traveled by a mouse on a mousepad vs a tiny joystick on a controller is completely different. They literally use this as a measure to set your in-game sensitivity - cm travelled on your mousepad to make 360. So you can play with low sensitivity but still have great whip reactions because you have a large area to move on your mousepad. They turn their senstivity up to match your ability to whip, but they still have to deal with the tiny physical travel of the joystick and even then they lose short-area preciseness because they've turned their sensitivity up. Or if they turn their sensitivity down, then they have the short-area preciseness but now they look like they're moving through quicksand when they try to turn. They're at a physical disadvantage with the tiny joystick, and aim-assist is trying to correct that and level the playing field by letting them play with higher sensitivity (so they can whip turn like you) but then auto-lowering their sensitivity when they get on target (so they can have short-area preciseness, like you). Aim-assist is trying to emulate what it's like to use a mouse but doing so with a tiny joystick.

My point is, the ASSIST in THIS GAME is more than ANY other game out there, APEX for being one of them.
Gonna have to ask for a shred of evidence before you can make a sweeping generalization like that.

Your talking about FOV about seeing before hand. FPS has NOTHING to do with that FYI.. wider view yes i get it again.
Yes, FPS does matter. Refreshing at 144fps or higher results in a PC getting a several ms advantage over someone playing at 60fps. If everyone has an identical reaction time, getting to react ever so slightly sooner is a very slight advantage. Consoles have hardware limitations. This is admittedly not a large advantage, but it does exist so you can't say it has NOTHING to do with it.

Based on what your saying console guys should not be winning because PC players have the advantage. then why even play the game if you think your going to lose because a PC guy is in the server. Do you quit the game when you see him?
This is...not how it works. Even if you had AI play each other so all the skill levels were identical, you still have situational advantages between players in various encounters. This is one of the biggest skills in a BR game - situational awareness, planning, gamesense etc - you can have over opponents of similar physical skills. Better elevation, better cover, sticking together, trading with teammates, etc. None of that has to do with gunskill.

So no, console players do not automatically lose against PC players just because a mouse is easier to aim with. There are other ways to gain advantages over players if you're smart. And no, console players don't quit every time they see a PC player, because they don't die 100% of the time against PC players. The same way you, despite going on and on about how aim-assist is overpowered, you don't die to console players 100% of the time and you don't quit lobbies when you see them. Because...wait for it....you do kill console players a lot of the time. You just don't think anything about those - that's just you being "good". You only complain when they kill you, and the crutch you reach for is "aim-assist", just like players blame lag and hacking. Players are always wanting to blame something when they die - they are the only ones who can make good plays, any enemies who make good plays are either lucky, hacking, or it was lag. Or now..."it was aim-assist". "If they don't have aim-assist I obvoiusly would've killed that n00b."

Just stop man. Aim-assist is leveling the playing field. There is no advantage over a PC player - any PC player choosing to use a controller is only hurting himself in the long run. It might make him better at staying on target, but he will forever be worse at whip-sniping and quick-scoping, things that actually require quick aiming which is 10x easier with a mouse instead of a tiny joystick.

ok. That's why its already being investigated. Had already been said by Warzone them self's. Np there isn't a problem with aim assist my bad

If console players learned the pc and pc players learn the console, most people will say aim assist on console is hardly anything. I certainly don’t notice the difference when my console aim assist is on or off for this game. The people who learned both would say the advantages you can get on pc is better than console. It’s obvious they would think this. Pc users just think about all the advantages you do have. Also there is much better aim assist on other games!
