I've been eyeing threadloom for a while now, then I got an e-mail from one of their staff members about their online service. Threadloom is headed by the [former] engineering heads at Google. By default, Google is a search engine, but the way Google sees forums - just another website. So, the way Google organizes websites is linear so to speak. I want to reach more users, yes... but what I really want is more users STAYING. And to accomplish that, you need to give them better searches, so they can find what they're looking for. Previously, searching through xenForo's out-of-the-box search tools - to put it lightly - it's too basic. It's missing some essential searches, such as three letter searches that Call of Duty players love, like COD4, MW3, BO2, and BO3.
I recently attended one of their events, and plan to attend more - the C.E.O., was kind enough to answer questions I had, and his staff was just as engaging. Next morning I wasted no time putting it to the test. Within' minutes the image search was already built, and within' hours the content search was built. Enjoy the features. More updates on the way, the staff already knows about xenForo 2.0, and are not wasting any time with anticipating the release.
