Hello.
Can anyone explain to me what went into the base game, which takes up 60GB, with Season 3? I just can't understand. What makes warzone only 36 GB and with the base game + 60 GB extra data? Because it's not going to the Vanguard.

IIRC the main reason for the download size of the game is due to the size of the game's assets.

3d models, textures, complex maps, a wide range of character models, buildings, terrain types, vehicles, weapons, and more, will require a lot of data.

One of the developers went on record in an interview with an apology for the overall file sizes, but don't think that will make future games smaller, I think AAA titles will start to get bigger as players crave more realism in the graphics.

I think you have a bundle or something.

Like, if you bought Modern Warfare disc, you also download Warzone as part of the disc package.

I have Modern Warfare disc, every time there's an update, the Warzone download is read as Modern Warfare. Yup. That's why.

In the future everything will be separate. There's a separate version of Warzone, but I mean everything is going to be vastly separate. Modern Warfare 2022, Warzone 2... separate.

They said that the code interferes or interfered with each other. MW > WZ, WZ > MW.

None of you answered my question. There will always be an update, whether the game is on CD or online. I didn’t dispute the size of the update, I was just curious about its content. I'm not even interested in separating it. But if, in MW, the models have been updated, who doesn't have the worse game quality? Just because you didn't buy another game? Not very fair. You want to respond with contradictory things to what was not an issue.

The developers confirmed exactly what @KeyboardDemon and I said. They said in previous interviews, PR statements, that the reason why Warzone/Modern Warfare is so big, is because of the texture assets and the code. They said they were working to reduce the size in Next Gen consoles, but even then, the reason why the game is so crisp, is because of the texture packs (you download texture packs across all platforms, so it's not just exclusive to PS5). Hell, the PC version requires a hefty texture pack download all on its own. The other 20% of the texture pack is the Ray Tracing.

As far as the glitches go, they confirmed (go into that video, it's in there) that the integration caused bugs to pop up on another side of the game, then when they fixed the bug, it pops up over there, it's just a mess.

I understand your pain, but we were there at launch. PS4 version takes up 150+ GB on my hard drive. [As I said, Call of Duty: Warzone was bundled with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.] You are currently getting off easy.

Oh, and that reminds me: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone shares the same engine, the same assets. Caldera and Rebirth Island is different from the Modern Warfare disc, though.

Right, I get you, I'm sorry I misunderstood your question, hopefully this will help you.

Updates either address all manner of issues or add new maps, characters, blueprints, and other assets, often combining some or all the above.

Smaller patches might address issues such as weapon balance where OP weapons are nerfed or recoil issues are addressed. Netcode and gameplay elements are also patched where exploits, bugs, or glitches are addressed, and often before the start of each new season there is big update where new maps, game modes, and assets are added.

While the updates and patches might seem big, often installing the large download will overwrite the previous faulty code or old texture pack so the actual game size doesn't grow significantly. I just downloaded a 104GB update for MW after not having played it for a few months, but my game folder is only 169GB in size, if the patch wasn't replacing older assets and files then by now that folder would easily be over 10-times it's current size, if I had the SSD space to store that much data.

Carlos is still lost in the woods, but thank you KeyBoardDemon for thinking again. I appreciate it and respect you. On the other hand, I still don’t understand what they put more into the MW game that makes it so big and these're not in the warzone. (Just because anyone who doesn't have a MW game won't even download it.)

I explained it to you, KeyboardDemon explained it to you, and you're still out here scratching your head, and calling people "lost." That's how you want to play this? Alright. I'll play that game.
