Okay, so it's been a month and a half since I bought the CODForums skin called "ZeroHour" and installed it. I'm looking for feedback on the design of the site.

Don't be afraid, tell me what you think!

What could be improved, and are there anything you'd like to see implemented?

- Arcades = Out. There isn't a mature arcade hack yet.
- Points System = More or less out, but has been replaced by something else: Trophies.
- Ranks = Already suggested, and is in the works.

Anything else? I want more user engagement, please! I want more posting, more return users, more registrations!

Post your feedback, suggestions below, but do not spam.

Hi.

I don't know the old forums so I can't say much about what has improved.

I don't have a direct suggestion in terms of mechanics as for me it feels all as it should be really, easy to use and so on.

But I would really like to see if the name of the loung and lobby can be changed as it is not 100% clear what this actually is. I would probably just call it Off-Topic or something.

And I would like to see if people use the off-topic forum a lot more talking about all kinds of things in life. Call of duty threads are usually " resolved " within hours or days, but off-topic stuff never ends and can go on forever.

Sure if it was more active once you would possibly require a second moderator or something as political discussions and so on can really escalate, but other than that, off-topic is pretty cool.

Hover over the titles. You're missing the reason why xenForo is awesome.

Trust me, I want people posting there, but most people just post recruitment threads, and leave. Most people post their questions and comments about Call of Duty and just never converse with the community at large once they've grown tired of the thread. There is a small percentage participating in these threads, but beyond that, I don't know what to really do about this. I do try to make the forums fast behind the scenes. And I've gone so far to upgrade the server so you can just load the pages fast enough.

I have a moderator besides myself, but political discussions here don't go well.

I see.

I thing pages load fast enough, like no issues in general.

Political discussions go never well. lol. Especially if we consider we are from all around the world.

I've got involved in a few of the political threads, in 1 I learnt a few things thanks to @Carlos educating me on facts I want aware of.

Generally the trend is the threads break down into mud slinging contests and Carlos has to shut them down before they really get out of hand.

@Nimrod I fully get what you're saying about us living in different countries and agree completely.

I live in the UK, I don't understand politics in the States and don't expect people in the USA to understand politics here, if I'm honest then I have to admit that I don't understand politics here either.

I think it is not so much about not understanding politics, I think it is just living in different environments with people who have different mentalities, minds and different ways of problem solving as well as a different motivation based on different histories as well as different problems within society.

Second problem is that people tend to behave more disrespectful on forums than in real life. There is a huge difference of discussing politics when sitting next to each other to discussing online in a sterile environment without faces and with the safety of being many thousand kms apart.

In regards to politics. What helps is to experience a country. I lived in the UK for over 6 years so I do understand how people roll over there and hell I even participated in my first vote in the UK (which was a local votes for the county I lived in as foreigners can't vote on a national level).

And even if I understand people there as well as in my country being Germany and also am able to recognize the difference, I would still not agree with how most British people handle or think about politics...but then I also disagree with most of my people.

Politics are just a big matter that can barely be discussed in a forum format. Not even politicans manage to discuss politics respectfully...so... there is that.
