I know this may be a biased place to ask this, but I figured it was the best place to get the answers from...
I've been a Battlefield player ever since 2005 when BF2 was released, and have played every single release since then. I "was" a PC player, but recently moved to Xbox Series X and decided to get BF 2042, and it just didn't feel right at all. Whether it was the fact that I was now on console, or just the fact that the game itself was terrible, I don't know. One of the biggest issues I found though was that the maps were far too big... I'd be running for ages to get to the action, and then just get shot in the back and have to start a marathon all over again to get back into the action.
This made me consider buying COD, as I read that the maps are smaller (is this right?). I've dabbled in COD once or twice over the years, but never for a long period of time, although now I'm genuinely considering dropping Battlefield and moving to COD instead.
What do you guys feel COD does better than the Battlefield franchise, especially when playing on console? I always thought of COD as more suited to consoles and BF more suited to PCs, so perhaps it's time for me to check COD out now that I'm on console.
