Which COD should I buy?

Hi,
Whoch COD should I biy, if I want to play a camapgne as a tf141 member( either Ghost or Soap) Preferably the one, where soap hast to find Ghost in the church...
I was told Modern Warfare, but which part, and the old or the new ones?

How long does it take to finish the camapagne?

CoD4 (Today: Modern Warfare Remastered), followed by Modern Warfare 2 (Today: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered). If you want to finish the story, Modern Warfare 3. But there is no Remaster for MW3.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a reboot.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II = Sequel
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III = Sequel

Only play the original Modern Warfare trilogy. The reboot trilogy is pure garbage IMO. They keep bringing back dead characters like it’s a Marvel movie AND they are shamelessly preying on nostalgia. They’re also total cash grabs. You can tell the huge difference in heart put into the OG Modern Warfare trilogy compared to the reboot trilogy.
