Where did Bounty mode go?

I really liked playing Bounty mode and only what seems like a week after the new addition, it seems to have been removed from the menu. I had not read anything saying that the mode was a temporary addition or a trial and thought it was supposed to be permanent. Does anybody know what happened with this being removed? Thank you in advance for any insights on this.
