Which tactics do you find the most effective?

Lots of people play Call of Duty in different ways. Whether they camp in a corner, quickscope or run and gun, we all have our unique playstyles. I personally like to try and play the objective, but on a free-for-all i'll switch to a sniper and quickscope
What's your playstyle? What do you find works best for you?

I play passive when I need to,and aggressive when I need to. It really depends on the map, my killstreaks and the other players.

But that's what makes somebody a good player...adapting to the situation and acting accordingly, so I'm always switching it up!

I run all the time. The only time I go slow/hide in a corner is when I know someone is waiting for me. Even in Search and Destroy, I just rush to their spawn and get them from behind.

I always find it good to keep on moving, whenever I stay in a spot for too long I'm always targeted. But If I move around I always end up confusing the enemy

As an older gamer who cut his teeth in the realm of shooters with the likes of Unreal Tournament and Doom, run and gun is kind of in my blood. Old habits die hard, and luckily, shotguns in Black Ops 2 are made for people like me. An argument could be made that the shotties in this title are some of the least effective in the series. Most of them have been nerfed from the game's launched conditions. And yet, they're still totally op. Especially in maps with tight cooridoors, there's no escaping the carnage you can rain down on the enemy team with extreme conditioning and light weight.

Hahaha, yeah that's true. Shotguns can be really effective when used in the right way, and even nerfing them won't affect a player who knows how to use them and is skilled when using one.
Run and gun is my tactic in a free for all, but in a Search and Destroy, i'm more about using 'stealth tactics'.. Not camping, but just playing a bit slower then usual.

Best two tactics in my opinion, are mobile sniping ( Keep moving after a few kills ), and a "run and gun" with a sub machine gun, or with a shotgun. SMG's are my favorite for the tactic though, as I am not too good with shotguns.

I'd say the best course of actions to take is actually just common sense, don't stand in the same place for too long. If you keep moving, if you keep changing your location there's little chance you'll get pin pointed. If you keep staying in the same spot your opponents will most likely learn your ways and simply ambush you before you ambush them!

Well it depends what your aiming for if you want points play objective if you want high kills i would reccomend you run around the outskirts of the map avoiding the objective until your at enemies side/spawn and the kill but never run into where the objective is.
