Console issues with Season 2?

So far I have not had anything too alarming

Went to TDM into a new match as I was getting ready to load off da chopper screen froze and sound continued. I waited for like 30 seconds and said meh close out to home screen and I closed the game and reloaded it.

When I reloaded it, it launched me into the store and did a few odd things. I backed out of all that and launched the game. Seemed to work fine after that.

Only 65? days on this season seems short?

Saw one new map in the rotation Dome? It was ok wish they stretched it in length a little more.

OK not a new thing but something since I got COD

Grouping gets bugged.

If I join a group and then log out to reset challenges or something the folks I was grouped with are now showing offline and I cannot group with them. Even if they invite me I get the other problem

I get into a group EVEN in regular games with no group just normal game chat and EVERYONE is muted and I cannot get that to unmute. Checking my group coms and even logging out of the game shutting down the console and etc etc etc. Does not fix it.

I have google searched it and every post states hit start go to the group with the headphones and disconnect from the group chat or something like that. I do that and that does not work..
then I try to set up a private coms with just the other person I am grouped with and that does not work either.. Thanks Activision for making that so fubar!..

Grr so frustrating google searched fixing my issue with the mics all being muted.. Went thru 2 or 3 different fixes.. Nope none work. Have rebooted the game, have rebooted the xbox. nope nothing. then one game right at the beginning I am looking thru the coms stuff and tried manually unmuting individuals suddenly I can hear everyone for like 10 seconds and then click its back again as soon as it split us into teams ......

Come on Activision fix your shit!..

Does this fix sound right? a "Mac address refresh" or "clearing your mac address"

Can anyone explain this to me.. I thought all items like this had a "set" mac address and it is what it is.

Can an XBOX clear its mac address and get a new one or am I misunderstanding the instructions?

So tried this fix.. NOPE did not work.


I am thinking my issue is I am stuck in a party that I cannot get out of. I grouped up with the previous party leader ( he is on PC) and low and behold We could chat to each other. However we both noted this issue with coms and also both had the problem where people are showing online or offline and they are the opposite.

I swear this game has more bugs in it than an rainforest ant colony.

So after a day here and a day there of experiencing this issue and then this last bout of crap which went on for like 4 days straight. Yesterday I jump on and I got the bug and I go like 4 games and then jump off close out the game like I always do. Later on an hour later I jump on. and BOOM NO ISSUES. Seriously the bugs with this game are atrocious.

So over the last few weeks Coms have been like this I get into a party I can here everyone in the party and everyone in the game party channel too. Then I jump out of it reset game at midnight so I can see my challenges as they wont reset when they are supposed to. Then upon logging back in the party I was in both folks show offline and even when one resends me an invite I get into the party and everyone is muted and I cannot for the life of me unmute them. I then go thru all the steps of checking every single setting I can think of and to no avail My coms are fubar. It goes like this for a day or 4 and then magically I have not changed anything and they work poof FM....
Well one of the guys figured it out to send me a channel invite and I hop into his channel and then we can converse. Course I cannot hear anyone else but some communication is better than none..

Anywho Fix your crap please..

Ugh also noted even though my latency is in the 30ms range I am seeing kill cam stuff like I see someone around a corner and back away shooting at the corner apex. Nope they just walked around it thru my fire and killed me, and I never saw their body once. Nor any hit markers. Yet kill cam shows I hit them and they could fully see me..

More and more crap like that is being seen and chatted about in game.. Ugh

I know that they announced some sort of update maintenance was suppose to happen early this morning dealing with "audio" issues. We will see if that will help you.

I dont mind the shorter season to be honest. This leads me to believe that the idea of a "Call of Duty 2023" is a real thing and they want to get all the promised seasons delivered before a new release.

I have seen two new maps this season one being that Dome one and the other was that airport one. I play mostly on Invasion so maybe not all maps are set up for all the different game types.

I got the Battlepass done like a week ago I was concerned on the rate of how many tokens I could earn playing and well I was earning better than 5 tokens a night sometimes 10 so I finished the BP a lot quicker than I thought I would.

Also the other map later I saw was the museum? Both maps are ok but I am "Meh" about them now they always seem to end up in similar situations with choke points.

But also thanks for the tip about the update. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let it fix that audio coms bug

So I just checked their website no mention of any patch this morning just March 2nd, and of course no audio bugs mentions for that patch.

Odd last night logging in I saw no patch and then later on after the party leader's pc crashed upon entering resurgence, I lost the ability to unmute the other folks in party.

So yeah bug still there..
