They're talking about mods. There's a subsection of Call of Duty, where you download Call of Duty from the black market. No. Don't do that. Always download from the source.

Activision owns Call of Duty. Nobody else. Microsoft is the parent company of Activision, but by and large, Call of Duty = Activision. Nobody. else.

Say it with me: Activision owns Call of Duty. Nobody else.

Call of Duty Mobile is by and large a Chinese app. That... don't download that. There's even reddits talking about iphones heating up. It's because Call of Duty Mobile draws too much resources from the actual phone. Not sure how widespread this is, but some say it's working fine. I'm shrugging here.

Another good example is Valorant; it's got a legitimate "malware" in it, by siphoning information from your system. I don't recommend people playing it. I don't. If ya want to play Valorant, I'm not stopping ya. But it is again, another Chinese product.

Yup. Battle.net is good. It's the official launcher of Activision games.
