So, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is out today - November 4th. Anyone have first day impressions of CODAW?

Bought digital version, can't download it on xbox one, friend can't download his on ps4. Download sucks up my internet connection, never goes beyond 8% and restarts randomly to 1%. My first impression is that the fault goes between Sledgehammer games and Sony/Microsoft respectively.

This is an issue that should have been resolved it's Nov. 7th and it's been there since pre-launch.

Tell your friend to re-download his copy of CODAW (on PS4). Microsoft was extremely quiet when Sony said to re-download. That tells me that Sony was on top of it at the top of the hour. But fixes for the download, and the problems in-game are all incoming.

But yes, everyone (that includes Activision) should have fixed this issue well before the launch of the game or even November 7th.

So far I'm really enjoying it. I think TTK is a little bit too much but it doesn't bother me all that much just makes silencers a little less valuable. The only thing I don't like is expiring gear. If you unlock gear, you should keep it.

The campaign was awesome. I'm still getting used to MP. It's very different. My play style was all about stealth in the pervious games, and that is almost completely stripped from this game. It's a bit disappointing.

I'm hoping that they bring back Dead Silence at least.

Also, does anyone else not see any player customizations in-game? I only see people with beanies, white shirt, green exo, and purple knee pads. It's strange and eliminates the purpose of the customization...

The expiring gear is awarded to you for doing something in the previous match like going on a blood thirsty or getting 5 headshots in a single match, it's meant to show off not to stay forever.

I like this game, people play it too seriously on xbox one though. Everyone drop shots and runs in packs right now. A lot of camping too. I like a COD when it flows more, people moving around the map more doing their own thing. I hate getting into a game and everyone on the other team goes the same way every round of Search. It gets so boring and annoying.

The maps in certain game modes aren't as big as the maps in other game modes. In Search and Destroy anyone can get to the enemies' spawn with lightweight, overcharged, and Exo Overclock for a free kill or get behind the enemy team and pick them off. If an entire team is doing this every round of Search and Destroy. It makes the whole match feel like a waste of time and boring.

I haven't really had that issue. I rarely see any camping, except when it's necessary on SnD. I think this game achieved the opposite of what you are referring to. You must have gotten unlucky lately or something. Not sure.

To be fair, it's not just in SnD, @Atlas of Karma, it's also in other game modes such as Team Deathmatch. If you want to see proof, there are a few in the media forum by @Ik0n.

Just an update: I spent some time playing Advanced Warfare (on PS4) at my cousin's house, and played a little bit of split screen with my in-law. The game's smooooth as hell. The graphics are sharp, crisp, and detailed, especially in the single player mode.

Multiplayer is as expected: Fast, frantic, and more action. Gameplay only takes some used to. I enjoyed jumping to the next building to play some "chess" with other players. In fact, I jumped out from a hole, and shot a player from behind, right? Then I quickly moved back into the hole. It felt like I was playing some sport sometimes. It was fun.

The game still has the same problems as every other CoD's... Lag. Lots of it. Sometimes I would see frames skipping, host leaving matches (especially in Hardcore modes - headless chickens!), and split screen still has lag in the same Multiplayer match.

CODAW seems new to me at this point, but with some practice, I can start playing well. The game seems cool so far. :)

It's odd that people see lag on other systems. It's extrmely smooth on Xbox One. I've only seen lag like once so far. I have yet to see a host migration. I've been playing every day since launch.

This game is way too far out there for me.

This game is not even playable in Campaign mode on a PC. It is a POS1
