Did you play through the W@W Campaign? I personally didn't, and just watched the story on YouTube. I was too busy ranking up trying to beat my friends online in ranking up to play through it, but did you?

What was your favourite part of the campaign?

Unfortunately I didn't play the world at war campaign, I kind of regret it cause I usually love to play games that take place during that war.

I did play through a couple of the missions but then i started to get bored of the story and went to zombies. The story was not really entertaining as previous call of dutys in my opinion.

I played through the World at War campaign and probably have played through the whole thing over six times. I don't know what kamy is talking about since the only previous Call of Duties were MW1 and then it goes back to the days of the classics, which are nice but too old for me to enjoy. The campaign is very entertaining, there are constant plot changes and it gets very dramatic at some points. I like the Russian missions better because you get a lot more emotion out of the characters and the story that it follows. There are times when you're operating guns on a plane taking down Japanese Zeroes, operating tanks, hiding from Germans inside of buildings that they're torching and sniping them when planes fly over so the shots aren't heard, and even times where you're engaged in a sniper battle while you're enemy is a good 200 meters away running from window to window and you only know where he is by the muzzle flash of his rifle. This is my favorite campaign mode and I definitely recommend you play it, you will love it.

I did, but it was so long ago, I forgot the whole entire story. Also, I do that sometimes, I go on YouTube and just either watch the cutscenes, or watch the actual campaign.

Haha yeah, that's the best way sometimes.

I'm guessing from the comments that the campaign wasn't really that great? I'm kinda surprised, Treyarch always seem to come out with the best storylines. Like most others, I just got distracted by multiplayer and zombies haha.

I beat it multiple times, and it was awesome actually. It had one of the best story lines for any COD game in my opinion. So many people overlooked it due to how good the zombie mode was though.

I've got mixed feelings about the campaign as a whole. I think it has an interesting plot and there are a couple good moments in it, but overall I thought it was lacking! It didn't glued me to the couch wanting to keep progressing, at some point I did it just to reach the end and that's it. Although they did redemption themselves in the games that followed I think they could have done a little better on this one.

I really liked the Russian side of the campaign, the Pacific Theater was a chore. I didn't feel remotely attached to the American character that you play as. The Russian side however was engaging. I feel like many World War II games overlook the Eastern front because it can lead to some really good game play. For instance, I'm a big fan of Red Orchestra and Red Orchestra 2.

I particularly like the "stalingrad" campaing. This campaign is based on the epic war fought in the city of stalingrad between the red army and the nazis. In reality thses wars in stalingrad proved to be a turning point in world war 2

Im amazed with the attention to detail given to the stalingrad campaign.

Hmm, sounds pretty good, I may try and do a quick playthrough of it tonight. Sounds like they've put a lot of attention to detail on the Russian side compared to the American side, but to me that sounds good because I'm not usually playing on the Russian side! Haha.

Thanks for the comments guys, I'll be trying it out tonight.

I really enjoyed the campaign and like usual it doesn't take long to complete so I would really recommend giving it a go.

Oh...the russian missions was the most fun for me. Reznovs character is pretty cool, there you are just the two of you with a mission to kill the high ranking german officer. 2 men versus a whole infantry I think. That mission was my favorite.

I played the campaign. It was fun to play at the time. Playing it now, not that exciting. There were some good missions especially when playing alongside Reznov.
