COD 2 Problem!

Hi guys, i have a little problem. i have instaled a direckt x but the game dont wont to play. i want to play multiplayer. i have instaled a xfire a 1.3 patch.
can someone help me pls?

Hard to tell. Unrecoverable error could be anything. And direct x can be a pain to deal with. If you can figure out what the problem really is that would be helpful, but I'm not sure that's going to be easy.
