Did Mason kill JFK?

As more and more evidence suggesting that Viktor Reznov is alive continue to surface, that got me thinking about one of the other more crucial plot twists of the BO1 campaign. Whether or not Alex Mason assassinated JFK. At the end of the BO1 story, footage is shown of JFK arriving in Dallas prior to his assassination, and in the crowd of onlookers stands Alex Mason. This suggests Mason DID in fact kill JFK, However there is more evidence supporting that theory, over said footage, Mason himself narrates saying things related to the assassination, such as "11-22" (November 22, the date of the shooting), "Texas", the state the assassination took place in, and "6.5 millimeter"(referring to the caliber of the bullets allegedly fired by Lee Harvey Oswald to kill Kennedy). Also, in the final Mission of BO1 while killing Dragovich, Mason says "you tried to make me kill my own president!" And Dragovich in a sarcastic tone says "Tried?" The final piece of evidence comes after Mason escapes interrogation in 1968 near the end of the story mode, At one point, he says "Proceed...to...target! Oswald...compromised!" Referring to the alleged Shooter. Despite that there is evidence Mason never killed JFK, it was certainly left in speculation, and the slogan "Forget everything you know" not only comes to mind for Reznov but for Mason killing JFK as well. In the BO2 story a fellow operative named McKnight asks Mason if the Russians really brainwashed him and if all that was true and Mason replied "they gave it their best shot" this could imply that perhaps Mason does not remember killing JFK or perhaps the programming failed and he never did at all. Which leads me to my possible Story Mode plot theory. What if Mason in fact never did kill JFK and he was merely trying to stop it from happening. What if he knew that the Russians brainwashed other American or foreign sleeper cells to kill the President and Lee Harvey Oswald was just another member of the SOG team trying to stop the assassination. I know the game is rumored to be set in 2020 long after the assassination but maybe we have a flashback mission in the making. But as with all theories ,it's all speculative.
