display issues

so my display goes black and comes back on randomly but never does it while gaming. im using 2 display the second one i only use for discord. i have researched this and there is no definate answer. this is 2025 and i woulf think there would be a reason why it happens and a fix. has anyone had this issue or does anyone know what causes it.

Which one goes off? What cable to each monitor? Make and model of each monitor and what video card? Which one is set to primary? Are they set up correctly in the video card control app? Firmware updates the most current for both monitors? Is a screen saver set for the one that goes black?

What are you usually doing when the monitor goes black?

my primary goes off while just surfing the web asus xg349c 34 ultra wide. seconandary asus rog 27 xgaqm does not go black. display port to 34 and hdmi to 27 jusy replaced dp cable so its not that msi ventus oc 5070 ti. before i changed to my new dd5 setup it did it also.

msi 850 psu it should be plenty. last psu was evga 1000 and it did it so i dont think its psu. ill check display drivers

Check and make sure your connections are seated and firm

I have had problems with some mini D port connectors at the back of our broadcast machine sometimes the least little vibration and they cause displays to wink off then Im watching one of 6 screens get moved and praying the whole thing does not crash.
