DMZ DMZ MISSIONS

Marky79

Recruit
Hey guys, first off all i just wanna say the dmz is a great idear and for the most part i have been having alot of fun with it, tho as itz moslty a group/squad mode the missions are focused around singler players so 70-90% of the time when teaming up with randoms is pretty much a waste off time for the group/squad as most just set off doing there owen missions, even if you go in as group/squad off friends yous kinda have to work out whos mission yous are going to do. i think missions should have a group/squad matchmaker.. as i pick a mission there should be an option to go into a matchmaker to find ppl who are also doing that mission aswell and team me up with them players. you guys thing that should be a thing?

Actually, that's a great idea - this community has NO idea what "team" and "teammate" mean! The ONLY way to get them to play as a TEAM is to focus each player on the same goal. Elsewise, this should be a single-player mode vs. AI ONLY.

What I have been doing as of late is NOT taking my insured weapon into the DMZ until I have successfully exfil'ed with some decent armor and decent backpack..

This has the advantage of I am not so pissed off when I get killed... :D

I actually go in completely unarmed, weapons wise..

I tried to do a Hostage Rescue with nothing but a 2-shot shotgun.. Let's just say I was writing a letter of condolence to the hostage's family when I exfil'ed..

I got close, but they still had to mop him off the walls.. :^/

Continuing the theme of our conversation, here's another reason to back your/our theory re: matching AND Activision/Blizzard shooting themselves in the foot:

Reiterating first - it's freaking impossible to do on your own once you pass the second tier missions, AND it's impossible to do in a team that DOESN'T consist of your IRL friends! Why? Because this community is a 90% mix assholes and 12-year-olds! So, take-home point? DMZ is impossible - you will never advance beyond your first or second set of missions. Ever.

Once again trying to go it solo, I had done well - even had my 'White Lotus' intel to exfil and was waiting for a helo. All of a sudden, enemy came out of nowhere, including a truck with a bunch of armored AIs (and pointing out, our "anti-armor" rounds AREN'T anymore after the recent "update" - good call Devs: armor EVERY AI, then make it a 30-second and two-magazine task to take even ONE down, while their rounds erase a plate from us with each hit; thumbs waaaay up ), converge on the LZ from literally EVERY direction. I had a barrier - destroyed. Trophy system - blocked two, then - destroyed. I went through 5 armor plates, a revive gun, a self-revive kit, AND almost all my ammo just trying to get to the helo and, of course, right before I could jump on, I took the last hit that put me on the ground crawling and bleeding out. Know where you CAN'T crawl, even with a minute of bleed time? INTO THE DAMNED HELO! But, luckily for me, another player showed up right at the end to kill my operator, and I got to see him loot my 'White Lotus' intel and exfil... Enjoy the sub-par LMG blue-print, jerk - you "earned" it!

AND, if you don't play with your real-world friends, DON'T squad up!!! It's happened to me every time so far, but the most recent, awesome "team" play saw one of my squad"mates" disappear into the horizon, off to do his/her/their own thing...whatever that was; I tried asking via chat what each needed to do - no replies. Ever. But, nope - that person was gone.

The other "team"mate went "Leeeeerooooooyyyy Jenkins" into a large group of AIs, with only a single-plate vest, a pistol, and some junk AR. Needless to say, he was dead before I could even reach him to revive him. And, yes: here, I say 'HIM,' because no girl I've ever played with would have been that stupid! We dudes are the stupid ones, generally. Women are more cautious, even in gaming.

Anyway, that's the next chapter in the ongoing saga of: "HEY ACTIVISION/BLIZZARD DEVS - FIX IT, OR KILL IT!"

Yep... That suns things up perfectly...

WOW... Looks like you had a REALLY bad day, eh??

At first, the AIs were an interesting diversion...

But they have been buff'ed up so much now it's impossible to get past them...

MAJORLY sucks!!

Yeah...a bad day, not to mention a troll popping in to deliver his/her/their "interesting commentary" after I took 'em out. I was going to leave them alone, but they decided to follow me and take ME down - I didn't even have anything useful yet. But, after saying so, and encouraging them to go after better prey, they came at me anyway... Whomever it was did have a couple of decent items in the pack, though. ;)

After that, yeah: things got...annoying.

Anyway, you're ABSOLUTELY right - once upon a time they were interesting. Now, like I say, it took nearly a whole mag to take one out! It's easier to take down a player Operator, though I generally don't try, unless they attack me first. But, when you have a swarm of those heavies - which they generally are at this level - you're right: impossible!

Now THAT is an interesting strategy.. I like that.. Be kewl until they draw first blood.. Then no holds barred..
