DMZ DMZ Philosophy

AntiCheatAgent94

The Equalizer
I tend to wax philosophically at times in these forums.. No, really.. I do.. :D

So if yer not in the mood for a philosophical discussion, you probably just want to ignore this.. :D

I am on record previously as stating that you should get MORE of an XP score for killing operators. For obvious reasons..

But now I am thinking it's a GOOD thing that there is no bonus for killing operators over NPCs... That way, there is no INCENTIVE to go out of one's way to kill operators..

The *ONLY* reason to kill operators in DMZ is wanting to be an arsehole and ruin someone else's game.. :D

Seriously, though.. I am running about 80% where a call of "FRIENDLY!!! FRIENDLY!!!" will stave off an attack and save my bacon... But there is that 20% (2 of which I encountered this morning :mad:) where I held fire (even though I could have totally decimated the operators) and ended up getting killed for my kindness.. It's annoying and it's frustrating... But I get it.. It's the game and that's how some people want to play it.. K sara sara

Personally, I never draw first blood. The down side to that is giving the other Operator first crack usually means a quick demise...

Ah well ....

"It occurs to me. If you break in there and kill all the terrorists.. The press will crucify you and you're damned.. If you break in there and a hostage is killed... You're damned... Difficult to win.."
"Nature of the beast"
-The Final Option (one of THE BEST Counter-Terrorism films out there..)

{/philosophical mode}

:D

There is a story from WWI at the beginning of the air campaign... Air travel was in it's infancy and combat air operations were held together with spit and bailing wire.

A noob pilot was on a training flight with a season'ed veteran in the rear seat... After an uneventful training flight, the pilot turned for him.. On the way he saw an enemy and turned to engage... The senior asked, "WHAT THE HELL YOU DOING!!!???"...

The noob pilot replied somewhat indignantly, "I am engaging the enemy!!" The senior pilot reached up and Gibb's slapped the noob pilot upside the head!!

"You moron!!!!" yelled the Senior Pilot... "It's dangerous enough up here with out pilots shooting at each other!

That's how I feel about Al Mazrah...

It's dangerous enough without operators shooting at each other!! :D

theres no need for any of this chatter. the only thing that matters is run and gun and kill or be killed and thats it. get er done failure is not an option and if you wanna be the best you have to beat the best.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

There should be an option to turn off pvp. This mode is a pure waste of time. Bust tail to get “stuff” just to get killed by idiots or the god powered swarm of tank AIs.

its war man up and go get em i say. rise up and takem down and show them who to man is.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Put it this way..

Yer playing with your team and yer set upon by an obvious Cheater with super aimbot and godmode. Said cheater totally decimates and kills you and yer team.

Now wouldnt you be pissed that someone with such an unfair advantage is allowed to do that..

Of course you would. Its human nature.

So it is with a solo player. A solo player killed by a group with such an unfair advantage.

Conceptually wise, there is no difference.

One is frowned upon. The other is acceptable, nay... is ENCOURAGED..

But the unfairness.. The frustration is the same in both cases..
