I think the game is quite good!
I just rented the game from RedBox recently, due to low funds (I paid for server hosting on the 1st). I went into multiplayer and played a few games. I also partied up with @KaosTrap too!
I think the maps are really good. They really tried really hard to make the game as balanced, and as "fair" as possible this time around. I haven't felt much lag, but I've definitely found some people lagging.
I feel they removed a lot of the lag compensation from MW3/BO2, that it feels like the other player's connections don't interfere with mine anymore, that much is noticeable.
The corner "looking out" move is something [completely] optional. I haven't used it much, so I don't see people thinking "oh, a new move." The only thing I don't like about Ghosts too much is the aspect ratio - now I completely understand that they're targeting HDTV owners with 1080p/720p.. But I see a lot of cinematic "letterbox" areas on my TV. Especially in single player.
The game's crisp, but I must say there's like, quite a lot of fog - now I'm not talking Turok fog, I'm talking Modern Warfare 2 kind of fog. You see a lot of it in dark areas, and sometimes you really can't see a player from a distance - maybe it's just newness or what... but it is noticeable. I think I need to get used to the maps. I'm definitely am digging the graphics, though!
Overall, Ghosts' definitely a good game. It's one of the best Call of Duty title since MW2.
Now, off to cooking/playing single player - which is breathtaking so far. What a great way to start off CODGhosts. Really!
