I see the PCs pretending to be XBOX are out in full force

I have my network settings to XBOX console only. Wound up where I was the only XBOX symbol and the rest were PC with XBOX attached.
Why is that, they should be in the PC Lobbies not the XBOX. They are not XBOX.

Is it because they can play console people and still use their "Gaming Enhancement:" Software?

I don't think you understand what we nave now. I'm only going to address the other part of your post.

Most Call of Duty games [since MW2019] are now crossplay. Crossplay, cross progression.
Ever since the Microsoft acquisition, Call of Duty games have gone onto Xbox/PC Game Pass. So, therefore you're gonna have a lot of PC crossover.
And then, there's PC players with Xbox controllers.

That's why.

There are three settings under network that you can select

On - All platforms
On (Console only) - Xbox and PS4
OFF - Only the console your on.

So that means XBOX since I have it off.

PCs using a Controller or through MS are still PCs

Its like Putting a Farrari steering wheel on a Ford and Calling it a Farrari
