Keyboard issue

Hey guys I'm brand new here but not to call of duty. I just downloaded cod4 for fun and getting ready for Ghosts and I'm having an issue with my controls and can't seem to find a fix. When I'm moving forward (w) and i press (a) or (d) at the same time... To move forward and to the side a bit for example to get through a doorway or something, after letting (a) or (d) go my soldier stops and i am forced to let go of (w) and depress it again it is very annoying. Anyone have any ideas? It happens with sprinting as well I'm moving forward with (w) and hold SHIFT to sprint when i let go of sprint my soldier stops moving forward even though I have not let go of (w)

Can't say I know what the problem is, I am a console player.

Have you tried google for the answer or even other sites?

Absolutely, I googled everything I was hoping I could find help on a forum as a last resort... Maybe that is just how call of duty on the pc is? It's just odd that my movements are canceling eachother out and making me re hit keys

it would seem odd for them to restrict free movement...but I guess that's how the PC is

I'd answer the question if I was a PC player, but I'm not, either. I'm a PS3 player.
