I have good ideas for videos that cover all these issues... except boosting. I'm not sure how to make that understandable and shootable in a short IRL video. Hrm...

I disagree with you in here. Yes, there's such thing as camp swapping, but camping in general isn't really about the act of camping [i.e. sitting], it's how long you're doing it. For example, if you camped throughout the whole game, then you're a fucking camper. Get the fuck out of my game.heres the problem with this theory
first off running and gunning is and has become imo "camp swapping" when your on a good streak and trying to get more kills id bet you anything your running around spot's where you know you have the upper hand, so the only difference is that your moving not sitting, witch only comes from knowing the map and spawn points.. camping will always be there in one form or another.
I don't know about you, but this question was answered with a game called... Goldeneye, and uh, another Rare classic... Perfect Dark.secondly IF in some way you are able to remove camping and snipping from the game what are you left with? everyone running the same class, the same builds, the same routs, heck in the end wouldn't hip fire steady aimed become the norm?
MW1 was perfect not just because of the maps, but the overall game design was perfect. The weapon choices made MW1 a dynamic shooter. The balancing was near perfect, there are some flaws, but it was damn near perfect.you HAVE to look at the bigger picture, mw1 was perfect. why? big maps plenty of room but lots of choke points, witch played to almost every play style. if you make a map smaller camping becomes more effective (via more ppl traveling the camped rout) and if you remove stealth/camping/snipping the game becomes broken and might as well play on a flat plain with no obstructions.. you cant have one without the other, i dont want camping to stop i just want more room to avoid them? agreed?
Finally, I hate those people who use "choke points" to win a match. That's like cheating the casino games by using statistics. Or trying to bet a World Series game via statistics. And these players vary from camping, to run n' gunners. Then again, the game is really unpredictable, these guys lose in the end.
For large areas? Sure. But in COD4, choke points weren't even necessary. That's why I said what I said. You could run and gun in Vacant and be in the top 3. I do it without even knowing the choke points, I do it without looking at the radar... I do the same in District. The only time that I don't run and gun anymore is in Crash, Bog, Pipeline, and Bloc, especially Bloc. This is the only point I would contend. Choke points are inevitable and even encouraged in use by the developers (see: Cod Elite tips and map overviews). This is mainly because every map has 3 major arteries that you can travel through from each spawn and some draw more of a crowd than others. If you're familiar with the maps then you know that, for example, there is going to be a crowd near the white pickup on village (in mw3). So, to choke point or treat that area as a choke point, with teammates, is to play positional and smart. People will funnel through that area whether you like it or not, so you may as well cut them off at the pass.
This tactic is as old as Sparta (literally).
