new graphic card prices

Oh just pull the trigger and get the 30 90
You'll need a new PSU and might want to also upgrade your CPU to a 3800X/XT or higher, which will need a new cooler, and maybe a bigger case or you could go for an AIO, but then you might still need a bigger case. It's a slippery path my friend. :p;)

The guys in the EVGA forums are telling me for a 3080 my 700 will be plenty and it'll fit in my mid tower case and of course I got to wait on the AMD specs to come out

we,ll see how the next couple months unfold i just built this rig and not looking to do it again just for a graphics card, once amd comes out and reviews are in ill decide to get best graphics card for my system if i get one at all.

also i have to consider why im doing it, i play codmw and will be getting codmw cold war maybe some farcry 3 im into fps games and have not found what i call point and click games im into, so how good of a graphics card do i need, i would like to have better then the 2060 but maybe i dont need a 3080 im just not really sure.

if i was to go 3080 the replys im getting are that my 700 watt psu will run the 3080 and i came across this article about it also

Ok, so I posted earlier about the stability issues being reported as being a result of the capacitors on the back of the card and then followed it up by another post about how some YouTube channels were saying that they didn't thank that was true.

Then nVidia released a driver update and the complaints regarding stability and crashing have pretty much stopped coming in, some people have accused nVidia of downclocking or throttling their cards and others are defending nVidia by saying that they have addressed the route cause of the instability.

The key thing is that all of the cards released have met or exceeded the miniumum design specifications and that since the latest driver update there is no longer an issue with the RTX 3080 cards.

This video summarises everything from launch to speculation and the eventual resolution:

in your opinion who makes a really good quality 850 to 1000 watt psu im getting ready to go ahead and change mine out so ill be ready for the 3080 or amd whenever it comes out

i posted in evga forums about fps and refresh rate and this is reply i got so if this info is true i will not be making any changes and i can put it to rest.

If you get any fps over the refresh rate, they won't offer much if anything.

You won't need an upgraded GPU for higher FPS in a game that's already getting 144fps on a 144hz monitor
You could put money to a 240hz monitor, one with a higher resolution, or games that are more demanding to run those might be a reason to upgrade the GPU, if you're not doing any of that, you don't need a 3080, or a PSU for it

in modern warfare graphic settings top out at 144 fps so if afterburner shows more then that what am i actually getting?

and i have 3 videos up now with settings from earlier post and fps is staying more steady now so i think im getting about the best i can in modern warfare and im very pleased with it so im pretty sure im putting any upgrades to rest unless i find a game i enjoy thats more demanding also im pre purchasing cold war today.

It has been a while since I looked at PSU reviews, but I would pick from companies that are established and trusted for their PSUs.

When I built my PC, I really wanted to go for a Super Flower Leadex III as these scored very highly in a review on the OC3D YouTube channel, Tom Logan, the reviewer, said that they were the second best PSU he has seen on his test bench, they were beaten only by a Corsair flagship model.

Be Quiet, Cooler Master and EVGA have some really good PSUs, but with EVGA you have to look into each model as some of their PSUs are really good and made be reputable PSU companies while others, particularly from the budget ranges are not so good.

Seasonic are a really good brand too, they tend to cost more, though I think their prices are more reasonable now due to the increasing number of brands out there.

There used to be a really good website called Jonnyguru for PSU information but that seems like it is not really being kept up to date, there used to be an excellent database that listed all PSUs, who made them and what sort of review ratings they were getting.

Yes and No, if you cast your mind back to April, I think, when you were talking about improving your gaming experience and how you were running your PC on a large panel TV, I said to you that you would get a better gaming experience on a high refresh rate monitor.

The reason for that was to do with Input latency, your TV might have had a high refresh rate, I think you said it was 120hz but it wasn't designed for a variable refresh rate where frame rendering could be anything between 6.9ms per frame for a PC producing 144fps to up 33.3ms for a PC running at 30fps, it was designed for a fixed refresh rate because it displays pre-rendered video that's optimized to match the speed of the codec used for transmission, usually 60hz if you're watching over cable, sometimes less.

In simple terms limiting your PCs frame rate to match the maximum display rate that a monitor is capable of can introduce input lag, not really an issue with things like a flight sim but more of an issue for say some twitch gaming like a first person shooter.

I could go on, but someone has already provided the proof I need to answer the question more fully in this video:

A more responsive game, where inputs you make on your keyboard and mouse are translated to actions on the screen faster than they would be if you were running the same game at say 60fps with V-Sync on

I'll check out your videos, or at least scan through them.

i was looking at this one evga forum also suggested this and said its on sale but he didnt say where but 119 usd seems like good price
