Did you ever solve this issue? I believe I have been shadowbanned also, after having lodged a support ticket about the lack of local Sydney servers. While I am not banned, support advised I have a 'Security Enforcement' active and/or my account is under review.
It's an absolute joke because I've never cheated in any type of game, electronic or physical. What's the point?
So I know it's a false trigger, whatever caused the review/'Security Enforcement'. It has made gameplay on Invasion and Ground War almost impossible because I can rarely find a server with a reasonable ping. I normally get about 10ms for a local server. Sometimes we are lucky and get a run of what I assume are Sydney based servers, although it's absolutely unreliable and frustrating.
Strangely, I always get low ping servers with any other game mode, such as Quickplay, DMZ (usually) etc.
Is this what shadowbanning does by forcing all shadowbanned players onto a separate large map mode server (Invasion, Ground War)?
Why would this vary according to game mode unless there are simply not enough servers?
This has been happening for months, although the ticket was officially lodged on July 10, 2023, without any resolution. We (me Sydney, friends in Perth) noticed problems after an update during Season 3. Prior to that, no problems, although were mostly playing DMZ at that time, so it may have gone unnoticed.
My friends in Perth also have a similar issue accessing reasonable ping Australian servers for large map modes, such as Invasion and Ground War. Again, it's hit and miss.
There are often many high ping (offshore) players on local Australian servers, even when it's hard for locals to get onto a local server! Why?
The lack of intelligible response from Activision is simply gobsmacking and it's really destroyed my ability to play with friends. I would never pay for another game unless this broken anti-cheat system is fixed, assuming that's what is causing the problems we are experiencing.
We are PC players. Any thoughts?
