Unlike most of you young bucks here - I was fragging friends at LAN parties in unreal tournament and Quake II back in the 90s. those were good times - and sadly it seems those days are gone. Now that I have a son of my own, there's got to be better things out there then fortnite. MW3 seemed pretty cool. Got a copy for his xbox... now here's my question: how can we play a 1v1 together over the LAN? not talking about split screen couch co-op, but where I'm in one room on PC and he's in another room on xbox, and we have a map all to ourselves. I'm aware I'll probably have to buy the game twice (which sucks at $70 each) but just think it should be possible over the same LAN since both console and PC are connected to it. back in the day you could do this offline no problem, but now i run into offline errors and game pass naggin me to buy that for $20 a month. Can one of you Gen Zers help out an OG on how to do this
