Unsure about BO4 and MW. [BO4] [MW]

So I've decided to pick up CoD for the first time in a while, but I've seen very mixed reviews about both MW and BO4, just thought I'd get some recommendations before buying either. I played MW2 through to BO2 and I found BO2 to be my favourite out of all of them, if that info helps.

I have invested many hours in both games. Loved BO4 when I was playing, but some things bothered me. Like, how cartoonish it seemed, the weapon attachments like sights didnt really change anything, etc.

Enter MW. Pace has changed. Wasnt as cartoonish in the beginning, but now you have flashy skins and ping tracers. Weapon attachments actually affect the weapon differently. Weapons themselves are more realistic.

I loaded BO4 back up a couple weeks ago and played a few rounds. Uninstalled it.

My vote..MW.

In my opinion CoD4, MW2, and BO2 is my top 3 Call of Duty titlea, and in that order, too. 2019's Modern Warfare is now #4, Advanced Warfare is #5.

Black Ops 4 is good, just a convoluted mess. My biggest issue with BO4 is the spawns - you respawn in the same exact place every time you respawn. This makes spawn trapping so easy. Not just because of the code or algorithm, but also the map design(s). BO4 has some good ideas, that is present in 2019's Modern Warfare. In fact, some of those features has been expanded, torn apart to rebuild a better system.

You think Gunsmith was an accident? Nope. The concept is an evolution of BO4's weapon customization system. The Battle Pass is a better option than the supply drops in BO4.

I like the gunplay in BO4, but the Time To Kill (TTK) is a little too high. And, yeah, I agree that most of the attachments didn't really do anything to your weapon or attributes.

2019's Modern Warfare is the way to go, or just get Modern Warfare Remastered, which is a remaster of CoD4.

I enjoy Black Ops 4 more than MW but it depends on your skill level and what mode you want to play. There are a lot of weapons in Black Ops 4 that make the game aids and worse than average players will most likely feel forced to use them and it's almost impossible to find a Solo or Duo game late at night in Blackout. Zombies crashes occasionally. No modes are dead though. You can easily find a match in the afternoon or evening. The competitive mode is also alive and well and you can find a match of competitive almost any time of the day.
