A 1080p issue with CoD

I recently purchased a TV capable of 1080p. I hooked up my PS3 and plugged in MW1 excited to play, and everything looked fantastic. Unfortunately, the controls seemed jumpier to me and my performance online was really bad. I switched the resolution to 720p and retried playing online. This time the controls felt a lot more like I was used to them. Has anyone else experienced this?

That's weird as the resolution change should not affect the framerate or input rate at all. Unless it is infact bogging the console to upscale the graphics to 1080p as i believe MW1 was 720p native.

I also feel the same way. Maybe something has to be done here. I'll figure it out then.

This is the only thing that makes sense to me. A hardware or software issue with your PS3 could cause it, although I'm no master with television sets. I just plug the HDMI cable into the console and TV and then get to playing!

Well, I have checked my cables and PS3 plugs but there seemed to be no problem at all. I went to see a technician and he said everything works perfectly fine. Is there something about compatibility issues with the TV to my PS3? But the thing was it worked, just that the resolution had to be lowered down.

That's pretty strange, I can only assume it's from your TV settings, maybe some kind of framerate interpolation thing.

Thanks for the comment. I just need to work out on side things. This weekend, I will have it checked again.
