It's so funny how aim assist was introduced in this game...yet it is completely over blown. I get it, you console guys need a leg up to compete with us PC mouse/keyboard users, but at the same time you guys have the option to use the same devices right?

I am routinely the only PC player in many games and routinely at or near the top at the end. You can perform the sniper quick shoot just as easily on PC with practice but I find it lame and boring. Its much like the railgun in technique in Quake 2.

First off, have you tried playing with a controller? I'm going to say no because when you do you quickly find out that you're greatly exaggerating the effect that aim assist has. It still doesn't give players using a controller a level playing field, let alone an advantage.

To hear someone who uses a keyboard and mouse complain that people using a controller have an advantage over them is one of the more backwards statements I've heard in awhile. You keep mentioning how good you are, yet you're getting worked over by console+controller players. Any decent player with a mouse and keyboard will always best someone with a controller. They have the advantage of speed and precision, and the minor help that "assist" gives is never going to make up for that.

You claim a cheat is having an advantage that someone else can't replicate, but you have the ability to use a controller just as much as people with a controller have the ability to use a KB and mouse. If controller has such a large advantage then use it. But it doesn't and you know it, which is why you don't use one. Unless you play your console at a desk (why???) then using a KB and mouse is even harder there.

Give me a keyboard and mouse and a server full of controller players and I'll have 5+ K/D ratio everytime. I'm an average player, nowhere near "pro".

So, my position stands.. If Aim Assist isn't available for a PC, then it should not be available for a Console...

If Console players feel their hardware is inferior (which seems to be the prevailing opinion, confirmed by your own comments) then it stands to reason that the CONSOLE players should upgrade their hardware.. NOT be given an unfair advantage..

But again, thanks for your input.. It's always nice to hear differing viewpoints and opinions..

Lifetime, PC player here with zero cod console XP. After spending a thousand hours or so playing cross platform in WZ and CW I can say the platform battle is (opinion here---->) pretty damn balanced. The only time the other players aim assist makes me grind my teeth is in close quarters combat. Mid to long range in WZ was no issue at all with practice. In CW aim assist feels like it dominates close to midrange heavily but is still doable with the right weapon setup. CW/SBMM with controller players I have to say is probably one of the most difficult Cod engagements I've ever had, it doesn't just get sweaty, it gets Epic sweaty. If there was an actual PC population to play with I would probably be there most of the time but I wouldn't change the cross platform experience for anything.

That wasn't my experience.. I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.. And I had chosen CONTROLLER in the SETTINGS and adjusted the AimBot accordingly... There was absolutely no aim assist in any way, shape or form...

But, apparently, your mileage may vary..

I believe your issue stems from your ability to have a plethora of cheats, exploits and other commands that console users will never have and you play against console competition because in pc solely based matches the cheats make everyone even! You need to strip yourself of the delusions that because you can’t play on a console for whatever reason does not give pc players the right to have lay line with distance markers to opponents to where they are and who is where, cheats where bullet dmg is 100% on any part of the digital body and amongst the dozens and dozens of exploits, cheats, rubs, mods, lags and every little leg up and play the game as the developers intended and you will find yourself coming up very short along with thousands of other cheaters. Not saying you are one but if it walks and talks like a duck!

Thats just how the aim assist works.

It doesn't help you get on target, it just slows your sensitivity slightly when you are on target.

Did you by any chance have your field of view set higher on PC than on Console when you tried it?

That is the one thing I can think of that will make the aim assist feel different. I have my FOV set to 95 on both playstation and PC.

The aim assist will "feel" stronger on lower field of views because your view will get zoomed in more the lower your FOV gets.

ANY aim assistance is cheating
ANY Software wich gieves you Aimbot and wallhack is cheating.
ANY modification wich is not official is cheating.
ANY stupid mix of diffrent hardware like Console mix with PC players is Cheating

Since the first versions COD they use cheats and aimbots...If you go down in this Game dont think you are a bad player...you just have not the cheats they use.

Console players really make me laugh,

I will give you a perfect example. when lockdown started one of my best friends decided to buy PS4, the last console he owned was a PS1 so he hasn't played video games for year's, I don't even think he's ever played the online multiplayer game. He was completely shit the first few days and my other friends and I would always laugh at how bad he was. After a FUCKING month, maybe 2, this guy was getting more kills than me. I use to toy with him when we have 1v1s, now I actually have to concentrate. I have been playing mouse and keyboard for almost 5 years now and a controller since ps1. It took me around 3 years to get to a very comfortable level am now, I also have a 3kd even with sbmm, so am not some shit player. Aim assist is a fucking joke. My best mate took only only a few days to be competent and around 2 bloody months to be close to my level. Anytime I decide to use a controller just for fun, I end up stopping because I just feel like am cheating, that how dam easy aim assist is.

Pc players: Have you ever tried a controller and used a pistol and noticed how fucking easy it is. You can literally run around and dominate with a pistol

Console players: plug in a m&k and let's see how many kills you can get with a pistol

Because some of us prefer the performance of a good PC and flexibility that consoles do not have. Also, some like myself who have been doing this a long time understand exactly what I am talking about here. I've been competitive in OGL and CGL over the years, at one time (during Quake days) I was in the top 10 and played against top ranked players including Thresh (Google it if you do not know who he is).

You are a very silly boy, I would so love to turn off cross-play, but anytime I do, I have to wait for almost 30mins, maybe longer before I can find a game, Plus console players are cheating more than pc players nowadays, hence why COD took action a few months ago. Think before talking.
