False Ban

I have played the most recent Modern Warfare games for a while now and recently I have hopped of after taking a break to see I've been banned for no reason (actually their reason was for using unauthorized software and manipulation of game data which in short means i was cheating which i couldn't have done because i play on ps5 and there's no physical was i could cheat. I have a pc but have never bought a cod game on it. I've tried to appeal but they just basically told me to piss off their decision is final. If there is any way I can fix this then let me know cause I don't know what else to do.

Never, I've only ever used the ps5 controller

Have you checked to see if your account was hacked? Have you ever shared your account information to allow someone else to use it?

I have never let anyone else have my information and I've played the modern warfare games since 2019. Ever since mw3 came out I haven't played cod as much, I would say I have about 60 hours total in mw3 but about 500 in mw2

Also I have only played on ps5/ps4 and bought it off the playstation store

Sorry I cannot find anything else to suggest. I guess you could contact the PlayStation Store support and see what they have to say about it.

I understand the pain. I was in a BR Solos match just now and I killed 1 person. Yep 1 person. The match just started and I was the target of a bounty contract. I killed the guy and I got kicked from the match and now I am banned.. What an absolute joke. The reporting system is WAY out of hand. People smack on chat and I reply I would come kill you, but then you would just report me for cheating. They take away all motivation to be good at the game...

Why can't you cheat on a PS5? It a USB port that you could put a thumb drive to install a hack from, right? Try not cheating.

Same thing happened to me back in Feb. I had emails saying someone had linked their battlenet account to my Activision account. I hot banned for damecreasons as yours. Tried to appeal the ban and got the sane response you did. I went to the better business bureau filed a complaint and actually got to talk to someone from Activision. I showed them my proof from the emails I had about my account getting hacked and eventually they unbanned my account.

Wow. I've never seen a story where a hacked account was reversed. Most of the time, it's crickets.

This would make a great STICKY if it was possible to get the exact contact route that was used to talk to someone at Activision and would prove more helpful that simply contacting a bot at Activision Support.

Not sure if that sort of information can be made public here as I dont know if any agreements were agreed to between Toxic16 and Activision.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting to get it back either. But if that happens to anyone here. Try to go through the proper channels first. Then head to BBB if nothing is fairly settled granted there wasn't legit cheating going on by the account holder. If you have your email to your Activision account linked, then use the email alerts as proof of someone unauthorized that is making changes to the account. The BBB gets in contact with an actual person from Activision and from there I got to plead my case. I think when you appeal a ban it's all automated. It just see the reason for infraction and then it doesn't go any further than that.

I'm not actually not sure if I can go directly back to my BBB case as it was settled but it might be open for public viewing on there site in the complaint section. Not sure I'll have to check to see if mine can be viewed. I know other complaints can be veiwed.
