thinking about getting this gaming desk and getting the 55 inch to give room for pc to set on right side i only use one monitor.

Just make sure you have a seat that will give you that a good view of the TV. I have a 55 inch TV mounted on the wall, but my chair doesn't have the height to adjust to.

It doesn't look very deep though, i would look at a desk with more space front to back.

I was talking more about the user rather than the hardware, I'm talking about the comfort factor.

Your ideal viewing distance for any monitor should be between 1.2 to 1.5 times the diagonal, so for a 27" monitor somewhere between 34" to 40".

Plus a deeper desk gives you more space for your keyboard, mouse, and those handy things you use to operate them - your hands.

My desk is 64"*40", which gives me plenty of space to build a PC without have to take my printer off the table. All I need to do is to move my keyboard and mouse so they are out of the way.

55" is a measurement that is usually associated with flat screen TVs, I thought he was talking about TVs at first.

Yeah, I got that, but I had to read your post a couple of times, 55"*24" would make for some extreme wide-screen aspect ratio though.

But, just to reemphasize what I was staying, a 32" to 40" would give you a more comfortable viewing distance, 24" would put you too close to your screen to view all the action conformably.

well i have a 27 inch and theres about 4 inches between wall and back of desk and monitor base is back against wall and i measured lol and im about 30 inches from monitor,im looking at desk because i want one wide enough to sit pc on end of it my current desk is just not wide enough and i dont want to sit it on floor.
