ive had my logitech 502 lightspeed and charging pad for over 2 years and have been very satisfied. but ive notice the wear on mouse and i have to pick up and put mouse back down for cursor to show up but have had no problems while gaming.
so how often do people change they gaming mouse.

When the most used to have a ball at the bottom, I would be buying an average of 2 a year (I've been a PC gamer since 1998).

Then optical mice with USB connections launched and thry lasted a couple of years, until gaming mice became a thing.

In the last 20 years I've had 3x Logitech mice, 1 lasted 3 years before left button switch broke. Another lasted a couple of years but the cable got caught on a sharp edge on my case, splitting the braiding and making the cable kink so it kept catching on things making the mouse annoying to use. 1 was wireless and I returned it because the battery life was too short.

I've had a Roccat, but didn't like it, it was cheap though and I still have it somewhere.

I've had a HyperX mouse since 2014 and they still works fine.

About 3 months ago I got a Corsair mouse given to me, I've been using that since then, but will probably switch back to the HyperX.

So that's about 6 in maybe 16 years, preceded by maybe 6 in 8 years, give or take a little.

I cannot use a mouse.. I am all over my desktop with a mouse..

I use a gaming trackball..

I too have noticed wear and tear taking it's toll.. The right button, which I use for scope has become fickle.. In the heat of a fire fight, I sometimes have to click it several times to get the scope and then sometimes several times to get it OFF scope..

I really don't want to break in a new trackball so I will likely buy the same one..

It's wireless and the real downside is when my battery gives out.. I get stuck with just FWD/BCK/LEFT/RIGHT motion and no turning/aiming capabilities..

well with logitech i also have the charging pad and never a problem with battery and if i need to replace the pad that sits on top its only 10 bucks from logitech and charging pad comes with traditional felt pad and a smooth plastic one so you have a choice.

Ahhhh Yea, I like the idea of a charging pad!! :D Thanx I am gonna try and find a good wireless trackball with charging pad...
In my mind, wireless mice make sense as you move the mouse around and the cable can become a pain.

A trackback doesn't move, your thumb deals with providing the movement, so the cable wouldn't be an issue like it can be on a mouse.

are track balls really good for gaming. i used those way back in the counter strike days
It suits some players, but not all, line controllers, some players can't play with them and others can not.

Sorry, spell check gone mad, I meant like not line, but when I swipe that combo on my phone, even after selecting the right word from a menu, my spell checker decided I meant it the other way round.

I find trackballs are awesome for gaming.. Instead of having to move your entire hand to be precise, with a track ball you only have to move your thumb..

There are forefinger trackballs but I have never used one of those..

PLus you can add so many functions. With my right hand on my trackball I can ADS, MOUNT, MELEE and TACTICAL in addition to changing directions taking aim.
