i am playing on a ryzen 2700x, MSI RTX 2070 Armor 8GB, 16GB ram. everything is set to performance, all game graphics are down (lowered) , unlimited FPS in settings and i get 120fps in menu and 100-110 in the game. how is that possible? 1080p always , on a 144Hz monitor.

all drivers (windows, nvidia etc) are up to date.

what does your resolution SLIDER say? in your graphics options. . also is your RTX clicked in options, RTX will really take down fps. also res slider.

I also need help with this. I am new to PC gaming. I just bought a Pavilion Gaming Desktop - AMD Ryzen 5-Series - 3400G - 12GB Memory - AMD Radeon RX Vega 11 - 512GB SSD from Best Buy. I have watched YouTube video on YouTube video and read articles. I have all vsync turned off, all my settings on what everyone recommends for “FPS Boost”... I also went into the graphics card settings and changed what people suggested in there. I use a ASUS VG245H hooked up via HDMI (no DisplayPort option on this monitor). In game settings are set to max refresh rate of 75 for me, yet in game I only get 22-31 FPS... I get I didn’t buy some $2k desktop, but shouldn’t I be able to get more out of this thing than that? Does anyone else have anything else that I’m missing that I can get more FPS?! I want to switch back to my Xbox after how unimpressed I am switching to PC gaming. Thought everything would be crystal clear and move smooth as can be.

i would make sure your running in FULL SCREEN not border window ANYTHING just plain full screen in graphics option in the game at top render resolution slider also will affect performance, i would leave it on auto, unless its higher than 1920x1080 if so change it to this.

Yes, you should get a lot more fps, i get the same amount as you and my pc is shit compared to yours. Check the cpu usage, ram, tc using afterburner while you play

Like these issues i work on everyday while optimizing people's PCs, usually something isn't right with the hardware/windows. If you want me to have a look at the situation, message me on discord; AlienHR#5888

The OP posted this thread in April and it has been dead since 11th April, I think it would be fair to assume that he/she no longer needs help with this.
