How To Unlock Characters in Blackout

BLACKOUT CHARACTER MISSIONS

REZNOV

• Obtain the Ushanka Hat. The Hat can be found in the Estates or Asylum.
• Get 1 Long Range Kill (200m or more).
• Place in the Top 2 Squads, Top 3 Duos, or Top 5 Solos with the Ushanka Hat in your inventory.

MASON

• Obtain the Stained White T-Shirt. The T-Shirt can be obtained through Supply Stashes.
• Wake the Sleeper Agent by activating the Emergency Broadcast at Array.
• Place in Top 4 Squads, Top 8 Duos, or Top 15 Solos with the Stained White T-Shirt in your inventory.

WOODS

• Obtain the Bandana item. It can be found near the Helicopter spawn point, just north of Firing Range.
• Get in a Helicopter during a match, minimum time of 1 minute. (see helicopter spawn locations)
• Win the match with the Bandana in your inventory.

MENENDEZ

• Obtain the Locket item. Can be found in Supply Drops.
• Kill two enemies with a shotgun.
• Finish the match with the Locket in your inventory.

HUDSON

• Unlocked from Contraband in the Black Market (Tier 200) in Operations: First Strike.

RANGER

• Unlocked at Echelon 20.

FROGMAN

• Unlocked at Echelon 40.

AIRBORNE

• Unlocked at Echelon 60.

SEAL

• Unlocked at Echelon 80.

BATTLE HARDENED

• Unlocked at Echelon 80 Prestige.

ZOMBIES CHARACTER MISSIONS
==============================================

SHADOW MAN

• Unlocked with Black Ops Pass.

DEMPSEY

• Find Juggernog bottle. Can be found in Nuketown Bunker, Mystery Boxes or the Blightfather Special Event.
• Kill an Enemy with any grenade.
• Finish match with Juggernog bottle in your inventory.

NIKOLAI

• Obtain the Russian Tanker Hat. This can acquired inside the Graveyard by throwing a Cymbal Monkey at the locked mausoleum door.
• Place in the Top 3 Squads, Top 5 Duos, or Top 10 Solos with the Russian Tanker Hat in your inventory.

RICHTOFEN

• Play as either Dempsey, Nikolai, or Takeo and have either Nikolai's Russian Tanker Hat, Dempsey's Juggernog Bottle, or Takeo's Letter to the Emperor mission item in your inventory.
• To obtain the Blood Vial item, interact with the Blood Fountain in the Asylum with either the Russian Tanker Hat or Letter to the Emperor item in your inventory.
• Place in the Top 2 Squads, Top 3 Duos, or Top 5 Solos with the Blood Vial in your inventory.

TAKEO

• Find the Letter to the Emperor. This can be obtained by interacting with the Typewriter/Blightfather event in either the Light House, Asylum or Boxing Gym.
• Don't use any equipment during the match such as grenades, Barricades or Sensor Darts.
• Place in the Top 3 Squads, Top 8 Duos or Top 15 Solos with the Letter to the Emperor in your inventory.

BRUNO

• Obtain the Mug Shot Poster from a Supply Drop or the Blightfather event.
• Down an enemy with a melee attack.
• Finish the game with the Mug Shot Poster in your inventory.

DIEGO

• Obtain the Pulp Magazine. This can be acquired by killing zombies or the Blightfather Special Event.
• Down 1 enemy with a headshot.
• Finish the match with the Comic Book item in your inventory.

SCARLETT

• Obtain the Racing Goggles and Scarf by killing zombies or Blightfather Special Event.
• Kill an enemy with a vehicle and finish the match with Racing Goggles and Scarf in your inventory.

SHAW

• Obtain the Alchemy Set item from Mystery Boxes or Blightfather Special Event.
• Kill 2 enemies with Wraith Fire or Acid Bomb.
• Finish the match with the Alchemy Set in your inventory.

ULTIMIS NIKOLAI

• Unlocked from Contraband in Black Market (Tier 45) in Operation: Absolute Zero.

ULTIMIS DEMPSEY

• Unlocked from Contraband in Black Market (Tier 95) in Operation: Absolute Zero.

IX BRUNO

• Obtain the Lion Pauldron. This can be acquired from Mystery Boxes.
• Down an enemy with a Combat Axe and Clean Up the kill.
• Finish the match with the Lion Pauldron in your inventory.

IX DIEGO

• Obtain the Mayan Crest. This can be acquired from Equipment Stashes.
• Kill or Clean Up an enemy with a Bowie Knife.
• Finish the match with the Mayan Crest in your inventory.

IX SCARLETT

• Obtain the Steel Bracer. This can be acquired by Killing Zombies.
• Open a Supply Drop.
• Finish the match with the Steel Bracer in your inventory.

IX SHAW

• Obtain the Ritual Bowl. This can be acquired by Killing Zombies.
• Use 5 Perks.
• Place in the Top 7 Squads, Top 15 Duos, or Top 30 Solos with the Ritual Bowl in your inventory.

SPECIALIST CHARACTER MISSIONS
==============================================
**Special Note: All Specialist Characters are unlocked by default now and these missions will unlock "The Numbers" outfit for the specific character**

BATTERY

• Obtain Battery's War Machine. Can be obtained by searching Supply Drops.
• Get 2 Kills with the War Machine.
• Finish the match in the Top 15 players.

FIREBREAK (GUIDE)

• Obtain the Burned Doll. Can be obtained by looting Supply Stashes.
• Confirm a Kill or Clean Up a downed player with fire.
• Finish match with Burned Doll in your inventory.

NOMAD

• Obtain Juneau's Tags item. Can be obtained by looting Supply Stashes.
• Kill 2 enemies without taking any damage.
• Finish match with Juneau's Tags in your inventory.

PROPHET

• Obtain Ocular Prosthetic item. Can be acquired by searching Supply Drops.
• Have 3 Perks active.
• Achieve Victory.
• Finish match with Ocular Prosthetic in your inventory.

RUIN (GUIDE)

• Find the Punching Mitts item. (see guide for how to acquire).
• Kill an enemy in Close Quarters (you don't have to melee them).
• Finish the match in the Punching Mitts in your inventory.

SERAPH (GUIDE)

• Find the Annihilator. (see guide for how to acquire).
• Get 1 kill with the Annihilator.
• Finish the match in the Top 15 players.

AJAX

• Upon looting fallen enemies, Broken Armor Plating can be found.
• Finish the match with 3 Broken Armor Platings in your inventory.

CRASH

• Obtain Poker Chips item. Can be acquired by searching Medical Stashes.
• End the match with 15 Healing items in your inventory (ones you use don't count).
• Finish the match in the Top 3 Squads, Top 8 Duos, or Top 15 Solos.
• Finish the match with the Poker Chips in your inventory.

RECON

• Obtain Ching Coins item. Can be acquired by searching Supply Stashes.
• Avoid any Storm Collapse damage.
• Finish the match in Top 7 Squads, Top 15 Duos, or Top 30 Solos.
• Finish the match with the Ching Coins in your inventory.

TORQUE

• Obtain Note from Torque item. Can be acquired by searching Supply Drops.
• Deploy 2 Razor Wires and 1 Barricade (doesn't matter when in the match you do this).
• Finish the match in the Top 5 Squads, Top 7 Duos, or Top 15 Solos.
• Finish the match with the Note from Torque in your inventory.

ZERO

• Unlocked from Contraband in Black Market (Tier 1) in Operation: Absolute Zero.

REAPER

• Unlocked from Black Ops Season Pass.

You need the Black Ops Pass. It runs you $50 (with tax, of course.)

I had the Cymbal monkey, killed 3 zombies, and placed #6.. and I didn't unlock Nikolai so that one isn't true unless there is a certain number of zombies you have to kill.

Also, you must need multiple kills with the War Machine in order to unlock Battery because I got a kill with it and WON the game and I didn't unlock her.
