Is anyone up for a botched release?

I'm joking, of course. I'm assuming that nobody wants to see a botched release for Advanced Warfare.

Still, a number of high-profile games have had rampant issues on launch day, especially for multiplayer servers and whatnot. This has never happened with a Call of Duty title for the most part, but it would be disastrous for the franchise if that happened. Do you think there's any possibility?

Given that they are going "all-in" with their marketing of the "Day Zero", I really doubt they won't be ready for launch. It would create a massive backlash from the fans that pre-ordered the game to be able to play on day zero.

Whatevers broken will probably get fixed with a day one patch, so I think the people getting screwed over are the guys with the day zero preorder offer.

nobody wants it but you are foolish to think that it couldn't happen. call of duty is all about hype nowadays. they need to scrap the prestige system and find something innovative for mp or else it will be the same cod game year after year

I think overall there won't be a huge issue but I do think we are going to see unlocking problems with the digital releases. This is the first year they've really made a point of there actually being one and you actually have an incentive to buy it as well. Other than that I expect to see hiccups with the servers and possibly stat resets.

I'm glad there hasn't been anything disastrous. I haven't heard of any server issues, nor game issues. That's including the Day Zero copies.
