Yes, in fact, that prestige hack has been there since 1 and a half years. So, yes, it's possible.

When I went to Activision to fix my problem (my 9th prestige rank was reset to zero), they said they won't reverse it back to where I was last. Going by this, I'm guessing that they won't restore XP points.
