Microphone Problems with MW2

I have a bizarre problem I've been pulling my hair out trying to figure out.

My microphone doesn't work in game. It works in the test in the audio settings tab. It works for other profiles on my XBox S. My profile works on other XBox Ses.

I have gone through all the settings in the game and all the settings in the XBox and can't find anything different then the profiles that work. I made a new profile with a new e-mail address and it works but obviously all my progress is gone in that profile so I'd rather that not be the long term solution.

I've reached out to Activision and submitted a support ticket but haven't heard back.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any thoughts?

I have exactly the same issue but on PS5. Mic test registers sound (bar moves up and down when speaking), chat works in PlayStation party chat just not in game. I can hear my squad mates but for some weird reason, they can’t hear me. Would be good to see if anyones figured a fix on this.

And before anyone asks, no…. it isn’t on mute haha
